Having watched skillups review, I don't think I could ever unseen some of the issues he points out if I played it now. They are quite big dealbreakers for me as well. Glad some of you are having a good time with it though. He shared a lot of the complaints I had for it but if people enjoy then that's cool. |

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like when you watch this game, it honestly looks quite crap. Playing it feels much better but it's not easy to get that across. Not that I can speak to it being a good game since I've not played the full thing, but it just surprised me watching a few clips thinking it looks a bit boring when I was doing the same things in the Alpha not long ago having decent fun. The Alpha didn't seem to do them any favors, as pretty much everything people posted about that was negative. I get that the (original) point of an Alpha is to fix stuff and make it better, but these days for games it's often where first impressions are made (NDAs notwithstanding) I'd be surprised if they really fixed anything from the Alpha feedback. It was what, a month from release? Seems more of a stress test or a way to identify major bugs. I mean, I complained about the snipers in the feedback form and dfawkes seems to have the same issue in the full release, so they obviously didn't take time to implement my invaluable feedback. I just know it would have completely fixed everything, increased sales by 800% and made it the game of the year of all the years. Their loss. |

give the prostitute more money, and in exchange she dresses in black/talks in a gruff voice/fights crime/etc. - pricey, but worthwhile if you're feeling flush. (More helpfully, it seems to be an in-game location that's accessible during chapter one.) |

I thought it was sweet. I'm glad they distanced it out from the rest of the game as I have to admit if it cut to that right after some Suicide Squad banter it'd have felt a bit off, but I loved that.
I will say as much as I love most things about the game, stacks 2 or more of snipers shooting at you can still piss right off. I can handle them better than I could in the alpha but they can hit hard, track a little too fast and knock out your traversal. They obviously went to Halo 2 Legendary Jackal Sniper School. Thankfully it's not too common to have lots at once but they are the least fun thing in the game for me.

I can understand the people who don't like the interpretation of Batman specifically (and how it ties into Arkham), but the number of people who seem to think the game is a big offense towards Kevin Conroy himself is wild. People who worked on the game said he loved it, and that he's wanted to do an evil Batman for a while. Some of his lines are brilliant and he's clearly hamming it up and having a great time.

DC will have signed off on absolutely everything, and we likely wouldn’t anyway. Do you want more Batman without Conroy?
Better to just do a new universe and start fresh. Nothing changes the old games.

Do you want more Batman without Conroy? Better to just do a new universe and start fresh. Nothing changes the old games. He's really great in it. The deaths reaction is bizzare. The game really hammers home 3 solid clues (probably more) that something is not right with the JL Never mind the general rule of comic books that these heroes do not die. One is fairly subtle, one is literally a kryptonite dragon dildo to the chest and the last one is dependent on knowing a lot about Green Lantern and how the ring works. |

Well, until never, probably. It doesn't look like it's ever going to be something I want to play, the issues feel too ingrained.

Yeah, just watched it too. Wow, it looks awful. I thought there'd at least be some decent story-based missions but it sounds like they haven't even delivered that? Live service stuff doesn't interest me at all but at least I enjoyed the missions in Destiny when I tried it.

I can absolutely see people playing through once and feeling like that's enough for them, or bouncing off the tone of the writing, or not really clicking with the combat flow (which is the skill issue I ran into during the alpha) but once that combat flow clicks, it's one of the best shooters around. I can understand someone feeling Crackdown mixed with Borderlands mixed with Arkham isn't for them, but the core gameplay is so much fun.
I've level capped Harley and Deadshot now, so I've started with Boomer with a sniper/shotty combo. I hadn't really messed with shotguns much but the one I have packs a fair punch with a tight spread. The sniper freezes on headshots too so it's a great combo.

Boomer with a shotgun is a really, really fun way to play, there's a melee perk that juggles people in slomo and (I think) grenades that send enemies into the air and locks them in place with a really cool effect. He really suits livewire as well which electrocutes everyone and guarantees a crit. Really makes you feel like a superhero, speedforce in, cause mayem and speedforce out. |

Level capped after a few days of release is a little concerning, no? Not fully capped, there are hundreds past that in the mastery menu. The characters themselves cap at 30, past which you're levelling the team as a whole instead. There are similar systems in similar games with boosts for damage, health etc. |

Decisions..would be nice to have another co op game to play together. We did like 200+ hours on back 4 blood and 300+ on hunt. Both games I imagine are rated similar but back4blood was that over the top silly violence and hunt is so so good I ignored the fact he isn't old enough for it.  |

What are you supposed to be doing in the Misson best Frenzy forever?
Cause half the time none of my attacks seem to do any damage and Holding the buttons mentioned at the start do nothing.

You have to equip afflicted melee/grenades equipped. If you do, holding melee or grenade will use the afflicted version. Afflicted melee has a cooldown that's shown by a bar above your melee icon at the bottom left (gear can speed this up with any that speed up "Afflicted Resource"). I can't remember if grenades needs a cooldown as I honest to goodness keep forgetting they exist.

You can only damage them with afflictions so you have to set them on fire or ice, venom, livewire etc etc. There's 3 ways to do it. If you look at any of her plants, hold X when you see it and she will afflict everyone nearby and you can go nuts. Hold down the grenade button and the explosion will afflict everyone nearby. Hold the melee button and it will afflict everyone nearby. The last 2 are dependent on the items you are wearing having an affliction bonus on them. |
