A really good pair of boots. Especially one that you've had for years and are properly moulded to your feet. You slip them on and it's like... well, coming home. It was a joy kicking through the leaves and being sure footed in the muck in the forest this afternoon in a favourite pair.
Oh and getting my own car back, finally. The loaner was probably the nicest loan car ever but it always felt like someone else's.

I just got our Xmas tree out of the loft and have been dreading putting it together and faffing about for a couple of hours fanning out the fons and doing the lights, I got it downstairs and realised that last year we went for a John Lewis prelit pop-up special, literally all done within 2 minutes.

Going out all day exploring, in the middle of nowhere on a crisp, cold day (like today) with the pup. Walked miles, saw hardly anyone. Now, nap in front of the fire. 😎
