Freshly baked warm bread. Remembering the weirdest dreams the next day (but not boring people with them). Occasionally if I'm the right combination of tired and suffering insomnia I lucid dream and I love it. Brian Blessed - love the daft old pecker. I'm sure I couldn't tolerate him in real life for long and a lot of his stories seem made up, but he is a legend.

Closing a fridge or freezer door, especially one of those big supermarket jobbies. Similar with cars. I always feel you can tell how upmarket a car is by the noise it makes when you close the door.

Someone not reciprocating when you smile at them in the street, or when someone smiles at you but you notice too late and don't smile back. Also when you make eye contact with someone but they're too far away to say hello or smile so you feel awkward not knowing where to look until you pass them. The joys of social awkwardness

I always feel worse after a daytime nap- groggy and vaguely sick. Read ages ago that, if you can quickly nap at a shallow level that’s better than slipping into deeper REM sleep where it’s more of a jolt to come out of in the day. Dunno, always feel like it’d be better I hadn’t bothered 🙄

Napping hell yeah. I can pretty much nail one in 15 minutes sat in a chair. If I'm feeling plush I'll set an alarm for 30 minutes or an hour, put some media on and drift off. Tuning into ambient noise and dozing in it is lovely.

Sleeping in on a rainy Sunday morning. Having the freedom to see it’s rainy and shite outside and stay dozing in bed, drinking cups of tea and devoting most of the day to reading your book

When your cat decides to let you sleep in a little at the weekend. Starts mumbling for breakfast but then settles down next to you for snooze.
A nice solid poo that flushes without leaving a mark and only takes a single wipe (but you still give it a second anyway to be sure)

Now well rested, got to send a few emails off I should of done on Friday but other than that a nice, lazy Sunday.

Have to make an obligatory mention for Petrichor, that sweet gorgeous smell in the air after rain sometimes.

Opening Just Eat to find that now 2 restaurants deliver to your hick town in the boondocks.
I mean after 2 fucking years of reduced capacity and opening hours they've finally worked it out now it's all lifted.

(Clementines and tangerines can all get in the bin)

You can still get satsumas?? I thought they disappeared in the easy peelers rebranding debacle of 7-8 years ago.

I've already consumed one bag. They're everywhere at this time of the year. Easy peelers are worth grabbing but they lack both the juiciness and easy peeling of the superior satsuma.

When you wake up for work on your last day of work before taking some holiday and you get to turn your alarm clock off rather than resetting it for the next day.

This hasn't happened in years on account of not commuting in ages and being far too decrepid for Young People's Radio, but:
That thing where you're bopping and singing - badly - along with a tune on the radio, and realise the person in the adjacent car is on the same radio station as you and also bopping and singing - badly - along with the exact same tune
