What a nightmare it would be. Pffft I mean if a fancy Londoner can't spend it you've no chance. Fancy breadcakes, brown ale, Auf Wiedersehen Pet on blu-ray a fancy dress for the lassie. You'd be lucky to get past £500.

In all seriousness its an obscene amount. I don't know what I would do with it. Its going to wreak havoc on friendships and family. Decades of being a tight arse would be hard to reprogram. Yachts and Ferraris just seem impractical and a pain in the arse. I've no desire to own art or a football club. Once I've got a nice house and a few holiday apartments I'm out of ideas. Maybe a gulf stream jet? I'm a basic bitch. If I can’t afford to hire the world’s best engineers to build me a full set of working Thunderbirds so I can land at fancy parties in a VTOL rocket then I don’t have enough money.

Not that I would ever go to fancy parties because people scare me. But I definitely won’t be satisfied until I have Thunderbird 1 in my garden for getting around.

There is a former Belgian landlord that I would find a way to destroy completely but he has dropped off of the google spectrum completely recently so I'm satisfied covid got the old cunt and can move on with that chapter of things. I'd be mildly tempted to wage war on Belgium because of him, not going to rule it out.
Seriously though Also I'd plan a voyage back to Australia by boat and land. Have to get a family of 4 and a dog back so lets make it a journey and holiday. Stop at a few of those islands between EU and North America, holiday across and boat again to Hawaii and the Pacific islands and such. Once back in Oz buy at least 2 properties, hopefully isolated and unnecessarily on huge tracts of land. One in the south and one in the north because fuck winter. I'd sort me olds out and the blow the rest on pixel and monkey jpegs.

I'm not a greedy person so £180m is way too much for me. Obviously if I won I wouldn't turn it down.
I worked out that I could live the rest of my life happily on £1m. I could buy a decent house for £200,000 and with the last £800,000 (and using the set for life timescale) I could happily live for 30 years on £2,222 a month.
That might not seem like much but it's double what I take home after tax now and I'd not have to work. Would be a total win for me.

I looked up the odds to this vs the Lotto and whilst both are obscene, this is more obscene. 1 in nearly 140m.

What will be obscene is the money Richard Desmond takes out when they hand him the licence next time round.

Investments and interest would mean that you'd have much more than that to live on... Exactly. Home paid for and 3 times my expendable cash a month is more than enough for me, more than I'll ever get to without a lotto winning anyway. Childless too and unlikely that's changing as I'm also single so it's more than enough. So even the millionaire code would suffice.

Well it wasn't me. Arse biscuits!
I'd instantly split it 50/50 with the other half and we'd both be free to do what we wanted with our share, so sort out our families, give some to charity but leave a sensible amount to live on after house + holiday villa is all paid off.
The 10 grand a month for 30 years one from the national lottery is double the take home pay of a decent wage even when you've split it 50/50, and that's 3.6 mil overall, so you could very easily live well with a fraction of the euromillions jackpot.

I think it shows you just how little chance you have of winning when nobody wins the jackpot.
... so, I've just bought tickets for Friday...

It's a rollover, will it get to £200m? I believe it's capped at £184 million. The rest of the rollover money is topping up the lower tiers of prize money.

Because £184,000,001 would just be too much for one person.

Give 2500 people £73k each, that's less life ruining.

This is all ridiculous self-indulgence to think about, but I would consider just not telling anyone if I won.
I genuinely don't want an extravagant lifestyle, I just want to not have to work and get a home.
Guess I'll burn another tenner for this weekend.

I wouldn't want to move, although I'd sort the house out properly. And would buy a holiday home etc. But I wouldn't want my life to change much other than not working and having somewhere to go on holiday.

I genuinely don't want an extravagant lifestyle, I just want to not have to work and get a home. Yeah, basically this. A nice home, to travel abroad once a year, maybe a couple of long weekends, not having to work, time to just spend learning new skills or to go back into education. Sounds like a great life. Can't really think of more that I would want and that could all be achievable if interest/investments are getting me £2,000-£3,000 a month. Obviously, I wouldn't turn down £184mil if Lotto wanted to send me it.

Never played this before, was excited when I saw I had an email saying I'd won a prize. £2.90, yay.
Day dreaming about winning the prize I realised how much of the things I do every day would have no meaning if I didn't have to think about money. Maybe this is why so many rich people are so awful, they effectively lead meaningless lives.

nazo - those emails are the worst. They seem to come in in the middle of the night, so first thing you see when you check your phone in the morning and you can't help but let yourself get excited for a moment.
