Surely Vice City is the only one people are bothered about. Probably why they haven't put it on either service.

Wait until they reveal that the soundtrack has been 'reimagined' due to licensing issues lol

Am I being incredibly dense (always a possibility!) or is there no PS5 physical release?

Surely music licencing is only an issue if they want it to be. GTA online is a licence to print money for rockstar, and everything has its price.
My prediction is they will make a last minute "with the original soundtrack!" announcement at the last minute and everybody will buy it in a fit of madness before they realise what they're doing.
(I am always wrong about everything always)

See, that's what I expected, but the Rockstar press release makes no reference to a physical PS5 version:
Gamespot and IGN both referenced this omission in their news stories on the subject.

Could be that they're last gen native with current gen aware enhancements, like the Mass Effect Trilogy. In those cases, PS5 is usually not listed, but Series X still is because SX makes better use of the hardware in BC mode than PS5, which mostly just smoothes out the framerate.

PS4 physical probably upgrades to a PS5 download so Rockstar aren't bothering to put out two discs. Saves manufacturing two retail packages and I doubt they're that fussed about physical sales given current data.

Separate PS4 and PS5 versions are listed on PSN.

Not for me. Played them all back in the day and they were pretty frustrating back then. When they clicked it was amazing, will always remember that Candy Suxxx mission in Vice City
Poor games mechanically though

Have all the songs and radio stations been confirmed ? I'm sure we lost a couple on VC years ago (if you own it on disc you still have access to them though) I just need a Rusty Brown's ring donut while listening to Lazlow on the streets of LC.

Wasn't really arsed about this, but that trailer... They do it every fucking time. Really want it for the Switch but not if its a lower frame rate, which I'm assuming is likely the case?

I'd be surprised if the switch can run the original games at a solid 60fps let alone these versions.

I think the only confirmed 60fps is PS5/SX. Would be very surprised if the Switch manages it...

Wishful thinking I guess. I k ow it's a bit more than an up-rea but surely 20 year old games will be decently optimised for it? I'll get it on ps5 if the ports nasty.

It's running on Unreal 4, which is notoriously heavy on consoles. Doesn't mean it's not ugly though.

I've cross referenced all known 60fps games on the Switch and all unreal 4 games on the Switch and none of them were. Ah well. Hopefully locked 30fps at least.

Yeah, 60fps on switch for UE4 is not a common thing.

It'll be 15fps for the authentic PS2 experience.

Surely Vice City is the only one people are bothered about. San Andreas is the only one I'm bothered about. I played the hell out of Vice City in PC, and it was great, but it had its limits (... limiiiiit!) San Andreas felt like Vice City but with all restrictions removed. The vastness of the world was super impressive (in terms of breadth, height, and the variety of locations) but so were all the little details. Car modding, changeable outfits, a flight school, harrier jets, jetpacks, casinos... It's just such an accomplished game that has everything. My favourite moment was aimlessly wandering around when I wondered if I could enter a tiny unassuming shop. To my surprise I could, and discovered a little betting shop where you could bet on mechanical horses. Just astounding attention to detail, more so than GTA5 imo. I just love little chance discoveries like this.

I'm a bit scared that hundreds of hours in GTA Online has killed any chance I'd have of enjoying the remasters. The nostalgia would certainly be strong, I absolutely loved Vice City and San Andreas (if I have to pick a favourite it's Vice City - for the music and the better expansions). But I've tried to go back to GTA V single player a couple of times and it just wasn't the same.
Guess I need the constant threat of some twat on an Oppressor MkII ruining a mission to get my kicks these days.

Was there ever a San Andreas Stories on PSP? I really enjoyed the Liberty and Vice City ones, and playing them on a portable was fun so I can see me getting this on Switch.
When it isn't £55.

Nah, don't think they went past VC with those.
Would've been a nice sweetener if they'd included both of those games too. They'll probably be a £20 DLC purchase each.
