As stated, it's not summer anymore. Not even an Indian one.
Stop being tight and get the heating on.
No.

We've had the heating on in the mornings for a while now and a couple of times in the evenings, too.
My Mrs is making eyes at the wood burner, too.

It's just nice not having to peel my clothes off every time I get home

Yeah I can't boost, I've had the heating the past couple of mornings. Extra blanket didn't cut it for this morning in particular

Great smell from our radiators this morning after having not been on for five months. Hard to describe - like baking dust but in a good way.

No heating until at least December and only then if you've got visitors.

Not had the heating on yet, but I was tempted last night. The price of gas is holding me back though. I've a coal bunker that is full and ready so I think I'll lay a fire for when it gets chillier. I was also thinking its time to get the winter duvet down again.

I jest of course, wife already stuck it on earlier. Failed to notice that the boiler conked out (just needed refilling) but there we go. Just a matter of time before I get the appeals for it to go on in the mornings.

18 deg C here today, hardly proper cold but amazing how chilly outside it feels when not in the sun. A comfy 23 inside though, no control over when the heating gets switched on anyway, it comes on for the whole building when the outside temperature drops to a certain point, will probs be end of next month or November.

Heh, my wife and I have very different views on such things. She'd have the heating on, set to 25 degrees all day every day. Not uncommon for her to be wrapped in blankets, heating on, and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt.

A couple two doors down from me are like that. She has it on all the time with the windows open because she "also likes the fresh air as well as being warm". He just goes nuts.
I haven't even got any central heating - just a massive multifuel stove that melts your face and some crappy wall mounted leccy heaters scattered about which cost a bomb.
Grim up north!

Tbf, mine is a combi - I meant that the system needed refilling/topping up.

And I've got gas central heating, but we've also got an open fire in the living room which we love using, especially over the Christmas.
However, having to drop off a works Teams meeting because the chimney sweep has turned up did make a lot of people wonder where the hell I was living.

Missus swathed in blankets/jumpers and heating on, me in shorts & tshirt melting.

A nice chill in the air the last few mornings. I much prefer it. Makes for more enjoyable running without feeling that I'm going to shit myself, pass out, then shit myself again. Can do without the nights drawing in though. It's too fucking soon dammit. I'm not ready.
Vortex and Dougs Exactly the same in my household as well. Me and the boy are roasting in T-shirts and she's sitting there talking about having a hot water bottle later, covered in blankets looking like she's about to take the huskies out over the tundra.

Not too unhappy the weather is a bit colder and a bit more breezy, it's nice to go for a decent paced walk and not have to chuck my shirt straight in the washing machine.

I refuse to put my heating on until at least mid-October. It does seem to feel a lot colder than the forecast temperature though. Maybe it's the wind.
I run quite hot most of the time, so this colder weather is a welcome relief. I'm still sleeping with my bedroom window wide open at the moment.
I know for a fact I'm not built like other people, who can comfortably wear hoodies in 30 degree heat, whilst I'm standing there in shorts and t-shirt literally drenched in sweat.
I went to Rhodes once and it was 38-40 degrees the entire time, and despite staying in the shade, I developed heat bumps (like warts) all the way up both arms after only a few days.

At least you two have an excuse. Barely dips below 3 degrees down here!
