They both look great but I do wish they'd have at least recoloured some of the cars. Still seeing that red Mini in 3
Maybe they're Umbrella company issue

I'm having to use a lot of trial an error with 3 - Nemesis is such a pain. I suspect I'm being too conservative with ammo too as I've already got quite a lot of surplus
I can see this being a better experience when you already know what you're doing

Once you nail the dodge the whole game is a breeze.

Once you nail the dodge the whole game is a breeze. I was playing around with it a bit last night. Seems the trick is to dodge at the last second rather than using it to outmaneuver them. Chris would be proud of punching hunters in the face

RE3 seems to be on sale at the moment on xbox for £13.19. Might as well snap it up now ready for the next gen update (whenever that's going to materialise...)

I paid nearly £20 for it. I'm so angry

Tbh I got it full price and am tempted to buy it again for a digital copy in a sale on my PS5.

What's the deal with the shock gun in REmake 2? Do they just Kojima-splain it and make it sound more complicated than it is or is there more to it? As far as I could tell, you just fire it and hold the button

That final boss fight, haha
Got a C again. Finished with so much pistol ammo, I should have been dropping zombies from the start. By the end I was just shooting them in the head to make sure they were dead (sometimes they weren't)
I enjoyed the game more once I just started playing it as an action game, although it's not as arcadey as RE4/5. I think the first playthrough is a bit awkward because the pacing is all over the place. Starts with an escape sequence, then something that's a bit more RE, then a mix of both, then another escape sequence, etc. I wasn't really sure what to make of it. It doesn't really give you time to adjust or acclimatise
There are a couple of moments where you're ambushed that are annoying if you don't know what's coming too
Can see it being a better experience on repeat plays. I unlocked the classic Jill costume (obvs) plus the lockpick and chain cutter thing. Should speed things up a bit on the next playthrough. I don't think there was an Infinite Shotgun to unlock which is outrageous

I look at it as action oriented DLC for the 2nd remake.
It's good, just nowhere near as good as 2. And that was the same for the OG versions.

Just bought the double pack of these two games for 20 quid on the ps store. Proper bargain.

Woke up last night and decided to play some RE3 as I couldn't sleep (the sensible thing to do in that situation). Running through it the second time was way smoother. It's definitely better to just play it as an action game
I'm up to the Carlos section already
2 hours seems really tight (for S rank) but with an infinite weapon, health regen, lockpick and metal cutters, you can probably skip an awful lot

Yeah it’s not that hard to get under 2 hours. I just had my iPad playing a YouTube speed run next to me and copied what was happening on screen

Yep, Jill can use it. I think Jill gets one (not infinite) if you play on easy too.

The coins are actually worth unlocking too. Especially for the harder difficulties

Are readables included when rooms are red/blue on the map? Kind of at a dead end with Leon B I haven't opened either of the safes yet as I haven't found the combinations but I've been to every room I can to have a good look and most are blue now I can go to the STARS office but fuck face shows up and I don't see how that helps me. Don't think I found anything useful in there either in terms of progress Might have another look in there actually as I was a bit stressed last time
Never mind, I'm dumb
It does mean I have to trigger him though. Cry

Re safe combinations, just make sure you read all the documents.

I was hoping I had the right safe combination but as useful as the extra inventory space is, I'd really like to get out of the station now
Stompy is all over me and he's way worse than he was with Claire
What I meant was, if I haven't read all the documents in a room, will it show as red on the map or does that only include items/puzzles?

The answer to my question is no it does not (which is a bit odd). Luckily stumbled across what I was looking for though (in the Watchman's Room)
I'm out of here!

Just got to the labs with Leon and have got practically no ammo apart from the flamethrower, which doesn't seem very good. Found Leon's campaign way harder than Claire's. X was up my arse constantly this time and made it an ordeal. There was a fair bit of shrieking. Not having the grenade launcher for the sewer blobs was a pain as well (which is where the last of my ammo went)

You should be ok. I’ve never known a Resident Evil game leave you with no ammo
Just use evasion until you find some more bullets

Oh yeah, I'm not overly concerned about not being able to progress, just surprised at how different my experiences of the campaigns are. Although I did play RE3 inbetween, which might be making me think I had a lot more resources with Claire
Definitely feels tougher with Leon though. Way more zombies and and lickers at the station. I think I'd probably just try running from sewer blobs in the future - I've got more health items than ammo and they take a load to put down
