I watched the first 3 hours of Invasion last night, and everyone involved appears to have forgotten what it's called.
So far all I've seen are a dull affair, a traumatised lesbian, Grange Hil and a weirdly pointless appearance from Sam Neill.
Where the fuck are my aliens?

This is like the bad old times after Battlestar Galactica where every sci fi shows sci-fi elements took a back seat to some pot boiling bullshit about a son not getting on with his father.
I mean, it’s not like you can’t do it well. I loved The Leftovers and that was also about the little people coping with a big event (assuming this also never really ‘gets going’)

I enjoy Foundation. It’s dog slow, but I’m ok with that. I hope it, you know, actually resolved to something but I’m content for it to take its time. Expanse final season kicks off in a month so we’re not short of high octane sci-fi.

I hope they drag the belter war out for another season. That was amazing.

I’m enjoying foundation but as they say YMMV. Thanks for the Expanse reminder. Good times ahead!

Latest episode almost had me fooled that it was starting to turn a corner and then that shit happened at the end.

Finished and that was... not that great.
Yes they spent a lot of money on it, (though couldn't they get more than 15 people from the other two planets to turn up at the same time, as that 'interplanetary conflict' looked a bit pathetic), but the convoluted bollocks with the Warden and little miss prime numbers I could have done without. To be honest, any scene without Hari, Brother Day or Brother Dusk I could have done without.
I liked the Empire stuff (though it's not in the books) and I liked Hari, but the rest I thought was tedious and felt like a big budget Dr Who (with his assistants running around and being Space Jesus's). It's a shame as I remember enjoying the books a lot and aside from the people I've mentioned (who happen to be the ones who can act best), the rest could do one, including the Huntress.
I'll watch something with Hari (I am it's Chernobyl, which so far is riveting), or Day or Dusk, but the rest...
I'm starting to think I'm just too old and grumpy or something as I'm disliking more than I like these days. Though as I say Chernobyl has me in the edge of my seat.
6/10 and I think that's being overly generous.

Yeah, I agree. Part of it is that Lee Pace is a very good actor and the rest a bit meh but also there's definitely something entertaining about a near omnipotent dictator foiling the plots of those that think they're smarter than him.

Not watched the latest episode, but the show is worth the watch. It looks great, and has just enough of the books in it.

I’ve enjoyed it. Brother Day the stand out character for me. I hope we get more because it’s just getting good.

I binged the entire lot yesterday, being ill and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It takes it's time getting going, if it ever really does but I think being able to binge helped enormously. Some minor plot point from episode 2 might get resolved or elaborated on in episode 4(just an example), but if it's been two weeks between those episodes rather than 2 hours I can see it becoming a confusing mess for some people trying to get a handle on all the threads in the story.
Still, it's a really enjoyable watch and it looks fabulous. Must be getting on for the best looking tv show ever surely?

But, ultimately, the moral is the opposite of that. Every plot he foils, he foils in a narrow minded destructive way which brings him one step closer to the end. They jacked up his role in the show because it’s about stagnation vs growth and he is incapable of change even when it’s foisted on him.
