You can't be a font geek without stating your favourite font. So, please do. I combined Arial with Helvetica because Arial is just a poor man's Helvetica.

Hate the word 'font' - so common. 'Typeface' now that's a proper word. So many typefaces to choose from but Myriad has always been a good go to one. More recently I have enjoyed Titillium - really quite a modern face used in various games and publications.

I don't have a favourite. I have fonts I hate less. Century Gothic keeps me from murder, but it's not in the poll. Where do you live?

Technically Monospace isn't an actual font but rather a class of font with fixed width characters, such as Courier, which isn't on the list.

But Fraktur and Gothic fonts are too. I'm just trying to keep this limited to major examples, for brevity's and science's sake. |

I'd have to say Gothic. I can't read it but it looks lovely In terms of aesthetics, I give Gothic script an A-. In terms of readability, I give it an F. |

It feels a little inconsistent ("a" is big and bold while "s" is tiny), but it looks good and surprisingly I found it incredibly readable. I set my Kindle to Futura because it's just so well readable. I'm also a sucker for brutalist architecture. |

Humanist, but only because it was the default don't at my workplace for a time and I got used to it. It might be a typeface family for all I know. Google says Humanist Sans-Serif? I think it was "Humnst 777" in the Word drop-down.
Edit - whaddya know, it really is easy to accidentally swap font and don't. I geek like I've learned something today.
