Any of there solo stuff. There is loads, just skip the tracks that feat WSG.
The plugs I met and Tana Talk 3 are his best stuff, but it's all solid.
The Griselda lot have so much material solo and group wise if you get into it, you'll have so much to listen to.

I just point people over to RapGenius if they think hip hop/rappers aren't clever. Clever word play gets me grinning like a little child, especially when I have to rewind the track and listen again to catch it. It's personally why Jay-Z is always in my argument for one of the best to ever do it because he chucks out double/triple-entendres just for fun I was scanning through the thread looking for the love for Jay, and you said it so well. I got into hip hop late, thanks to Danger Mouse - Grey Album. I came for the Beatles beats but stayed for grin inducing wordplay. It’s just so freaking good. |

Listened to The Plugs I Met 1 and 2, If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed and La Maquina
I'm hoping I become numb to it or my brain learns to tune it out. It's like trying to listen to music with someone sitting next to you making stupid noises, who you can't strangle. I think his weird little laugh might be the one I hate the most

I'm enjoying a track and then "brrrrrrrrrrrrt" out of nowhere for no reason and it just kills the mood. Sometimes tracks open with it, also kills the mood. Kill All Rats is a good song until the end when WG does his stupid noises just because. Hate it
Apart from some "dodododo" (which might not be WG) The Plugs I Met were fine. I liked 2 especially
Anyway, was listening to The Blueprint to try and get into Jay-Z as he hasn't really clicked with me but Takeover just made me want to listen to Nas. I assume that's the track that triggered Ether. Looked for Stillmatic on Tidal and the album art is animated for some reason so that Nas blinks and the pigeon pecks the wall. It's so goofy and I don't know why it's like that!  |
