It's the nature of the beast. Become successful, you attract newcomers and tourists. It's hard to build on the core support. We've seen a bit of it and the club have done well to offer discounted tickets to U21 fans. The result is a new group of fans in their 20s now who are making a while load of noise and having fun, organising themselves etc.

I went to psg, sporting and Madrid at etihad this year and canβt really defend the poor atmosphere. The stadium itself doesnβt help but it is increasing filled with tourists. Many traditional city fans I know have given up their STβs. Especially since lockdown and cost of living crisis. |

Clubs always need to feed the next generation of fans. If you don't, you get silence, as the old fucks who used to make a noise can't be arsed any more. My ST area has traditionally been a bit raucous but we're all getting on a bit now and it's the younger fans at the other end making the running now.
