After watching most class videos I could find on YouTube I'm definitely going to play a hybrid melee/caster class - the decision now is if I focus on Faith (and pick Confessor) or Intelligence (then I'd select Prisoner). The Dex/Int build makes a lot of sense due to how the stats compliment each other, but I'm very tempted by a Dex/Faith fire & healing clobbering role. The big drawback of the Faith spells though is that a lot of them seem to cause madness on you when cast , so that seems like a level of management I might leave to a second play-through. Got to enjoy my anniversary celebrations first on Friday and then it's Elden Ring time on Saturday! |

Definitely don't watch that video if you're trying to avoid spoilers. On the other hand, holy fuck. Like genuinely 'HOLY FUCK!' I'm gonna watch it again... possibly in slow motion.
Meh. I don't love the art style, but then I'm not into metal.
Also some of the character models (e.g. at 1:40) have a PS360 era look to them.
Of course the game will be great to play, before you all attach me to an iron maiden.

From the wee bit I saw a few months back, I just saw a whole load of reused souls assets. Horizon this won't be. So long as there's long faced pale people and hand babies to attack, I don't mind.

Well I'm not actually talking about the graphics so much as the scale and scope. I feel like PS360 is a bit hyperbolic, but I'll go back and check... now if you'd kindly step in here, mind the spikes... |

Str does seem like a really good stat, since it also governs how much heavy armour you can put on. If that’s at all useful

Dex also decreases casting time, it is the one stat to rule them all.
