I replayed it a bunch of times, enjoyed it a lot when you consider how terrible it is. I wish I’d kept the boxes from my 80s/early 90s games.

Are any people here picking this up on PC? My PC is pretty good but going for PS5 here. Main concern is hackers and well I bought a nice 4k OLED TV (LGc1) vs a 1440p monitor and prefer sitting on a couch. Will definitely double dip when it goes on discount for PC in a year or so when the modding scene's endless possibilities are known. I will share my PSN ID when I start playing after recovering physically (around 10 March ish). I am rather frustated that I currrently physically struggle to play videogames and lose out on the first 2 weeks of elden ring. Will have to try really hard to avoid spoilers during that time period... |

I’ve just preordered. I’ve never preordered a game before but I also have leave booked when this comes out.
Is everyone just going solo on this or are we sharing our PSNs for some EG co-op?

I think it would be great if someone makes a seperate thread on sharing PSN/Steam ID's for Elden Ring Co-op, could get a bit tricky finding someones ID in the middle of gameplay discussions.
My experience with coop in souls games been a bit varied:
Demon Souls: Never did co-op
Dark Souls: Shamefull to admit without my random japanese jedi coop partner I wouls not have killed ornstein and Smough. Did co-op myself for only small select number of bosses to help others
Dark souls 2: Did shit tons of co-op, Elden ring seems even more made for co-op later on so I will be long term active and looking for coop partners.
Dark Souls 3: Did a few bosses to help others, but never felt much incentive.
Bloodborne: Quite a bit of coop before my PSN run out, felt the game did become to easy (spamming gun shots for parries).

I'll be picking it up on XSX, feel like I'm in the minority on here at least. I've done almost no co-op bar summoning randos for hard bosses, and putting my sign down a few other times. Sounds fun to do "planned" co-op with folks.

I don't know how close this will be to the Bloodborne playstyle. FWIW I'm also (re)playing Bloodborne now, and the last time I did it thoroughly threw me off how to fight in DS2, that I started right after. I've been pretty much "shield up, all the time" in DS, but bloodborne would not let me get away with that and it was brilliant.

I had a memorable Demon's Souls session with Quaddy and Solid where Shrine of Storms had turned so black that phantom skeletons were breeding. Other than that it's just the occasional help with bosses.

I did the odd boss summon in DS1 on the first playthrough years ago, and a bit of Cat Covenant drop-in PvP, but nothing apart from that. On the more recent Remastered playthrough there was nothing apart from one random who kindly guided me through Painted World.
I’d maybe be up for some co-op if there’s any grinding or returning to previous areas, or in NG+, but I don’t like it so much when exploring an area for the first time. I always feel I can’t go at my own pace.

Got a notification earlier that shopto had some. Clicked on it straight away and was number 7.5k in the queue. I didn’t get one 🙁 |

I think the prices were much lower in December in The Netherlands around 650 euro. Saw they jumped up again to 730ish. If I did not get extremely lucky twice (gave one to my little brother as a present) I might have bought mine for around 650 as well. |

I must have got lucky with my PS5. I’m with EE for mine and the wife’s phone contract. My wife saw that they had some in stock and ordered one for me. Two days later it was delivered. This was just before Christmas as well.
