I've convinced my son to buy it with his Xmas money after he thought it would be too hard. I told him to magic and I'll help with co op when he gets stuck. Who knows he might do better than me as I'm thinking of going as half naked barbarian with duel axes. My boy is getting it as well. This will be the first new soulsbornekiroring that I'm not going to be facing alone in mny household now he's into them. The worst part is a) he's better at them than me now and b) he's got more free time so he'll get further than me and quicker. I've told him if he spoils any of it he will be packin his bags and living at his grandparents from now on. |

I’m really excited for this but apprehensive too. Sekiro broke me. The others I have completed and even platinumed booodborne but my patience isn’t what it once was.

I don't think I'll be going for this one any time soon, now I've heard it's this style.
Honestly, Quaddy, Rob and a couple of others from the old crowd got me through Dark Souls, and I loved it, mainly because of the camaraderie.
I went on to try DS2, DS3 and BB, and none of them ever really clicked for me in the same way.
I generally go for easy settings on most games I play anyway, as I'm more in it for the story, visuals and so on these days, rather than the challenge as such.

Watch some videos, especially of people using Faith/Magic builds. I'm not going to claim it's easy but I think it will be the most accesible Souls game yet.
Supposedly the first 'proper' boss - Margit The Fell, who blocks the route to the first major dungeon - can be avoided entirely in the full game. Shields are also making a full comeback.

Iirc it was you who was playing through it at the same time as me when I was back on 360. It was interesting reading about your adventures and how we went about things completely differently. I always get the disc version of a FROM game, but this is the first time I'm not. As much as I'll miss getting the box and shit, this way means I don't need to buy two copies for me and the boy to play, and I can't be fucked pacing around on launch day hoping my disc will come when I can have it preloaded and grab a quick sesh before work.
I've always traditionally got the day off work for a launch as well but not this year because I'm pretending to be a Grown UpTM
