At the risk of driving a monster truck straight through the vintage Porsche meet, I bloody love my belt sander 🤘

oooh! watcha got mista? is dust collection even possible or is it an outside only job? been looking to add to the little 125mm random orbit, was toying with a metabo sxe450 for more aggressive transformation of big bits of wood into smaller bits of wood, but a belt sander is in contention

with enough imagination most objects can become an inpromptu hammer (or sex toy, if this thread is any guide)

Turns out Pikachu Plush Toys do not, in fact, make good impromptu hammers.

No mention of the suitability or lack thereof as a sex toy though. Interesting.

A couple matt, nothing special, but such useful tools- yes for stripping paint etc, but I possibly use more upside down as a shaping tool, as I don’t have a workshop with that kind of sanding setup. Make a lot of random things and the ability to quickly and elegantly shape and round off wood etc is brilliant. They often come with a flat top so you can flip them for this use.
I also rounded off my forearm one day, tired and not thinking- sleeve got caught in the belt and sucked the sanding edge (with 40 f’ing grit paper) into my skin where it happily chewed away until I flicked my arm hard enough to snap it off. Now have a permanent white scar, so they’re great for removing skin pigment too 👌

Dug out my L-N rip saw, and a rather nice vintage sheffield steel crosscut I got off Tooltique

Should get the limbs off nicely. If you use decent plastic bags then you should only need 2 suitcases.

Never sharpened a saw, not sure if I’d want to tackle that myself I’m finding it tricky. RIP saw teeth I can do reasonably well (in that they ll cut well enough) but I know all inaccuracies are building up and will leave me with oddly spaced teeth eventually. And jointing the saw and re-cutting new teeth feels like a big hill. I need to slow down and practise more I guess. The solution to pretty much anything hand tool woodworking.

I just signed up to Facebook on my work email to use it for work stuff, and I went to the home page and see it has all these posts that no doubt are just algorithmically showing up on my feed, to give me a flavour of things i might like to add. One of them was just a woman bending over showing off her huge arse in some undies. Thanks Facebook for having that just appear on my screen in front of other workers. I clicked like obvs. It would be rude not to

A lady in my gym does nothing but arse exercises any time she's been there when I have. She has a massive arse. She wears tiny shorts and dances in between arse sets with her headphones on. Might be the same person from Cubby's ad. Would she be game for a LegendaryGape? You could always ask

Is there a shop more shit than Flying Tiger? Might as well just dump everything they sell straight into landfill and cut out the middleman
