Do you own the graves if you own that house?
Asking for a friend.

I think so. There's a public right of way but in the article the previous owner said hardly anyone ever visited.
Probably be a bit of a twat to heat but it's bloody gorgeous.

That telly is mounted far too high. No sale.

Cubby’s friend says heating the twat doesn’t work with graves that old.

Just get a landscape gardener in to sort it out. Should be able to fit all those headstones in a couple of skips.

So the hamster cage arrived on Friday so I built that yesterday, it was OK for the money but I added several extra fixings and a few battens here and there and also a solid base so it's pretty sturdy and sawdust won't go all over the bloody floor now. Mrs Mercury is still clamoring on to her past claiming it needs little stimulation so as predicted old fred has had to step in and populate it's cavernous enclosure with all sorts.

I've read the last page and a half in the context of Rageh Omar potentially having a stroke. I too hope it mows well in fulsome view of the telly and laughs off microwave radiation.
(I hope Mrs Mercury is doing well Fred)

I occasionally check who’s popular on Spotify and no matter when I check it amazes me that Rihanna is always right at the top. Today she is 4th with nearly 90 millions listeners a month. Crazy, her last album came out in 2016. Everyone else in the top ten are artists that are still dropping albums like Taylor swift, the weekend etc. even old ed Sheeran who hasn’t dropped for over a year is now sitting at 18th because he has nothing current.
Nice random musing for you there.

I just caught up on the Oxford chat from a few pages ago.
Its all booked in now. I’m anticipating “Durham but with more than four streets in its city centre” based on your comments. Taken an absolute bumming on accommodation prices too but I guess thats the penalty for second weddings and bordering-middle age stag dos that don’t just need a hostel room with bunks that cost us €15 each.
The bookending 4+ hour train journeys up and down might be a nice bit of quiet time too.

My middle class town of choice is Cheltenham these days. Since they blocked off Botley Road, Oxford is a proper knacker ache to get to.
It’s so swanky.

was about to recommend Subtone in Cheltenham but just googled & realised they closed 7 years ago, confirming just how up to date i am
2 Pigs used to be a decent cheap & dirty night out but they keep getting adult entertainment licences during race week & i'm just enough of a prude to be right fucked off about that
anyway, yeah, cheltenham's alright. Getting around is harder than I remember Oxford being 20 years ago, but clearly Oxford's got worse while cheltenham's getting a little better. there's a new park & ride going up by GCHQ just off the M5 which should improve things a bit

Asked my brother to see if he was free at some point this week.
Tells me he can't this week as he's working late and the only two days he has free he has to take my nephew to his afterschool clubs.
One is Lego Club, the other is Nerf War Club.
I'm jealous of my 6 year old nephew. We had chess club and maths club ffs!

I hate how they would use "club" to make it like sound something cool and interesting that you want to be part of. Maths club isn't cool mum!

Fuck me just came across the latest “Britains got talent”. What the fuck was I watching? All four of them are now firmly in uncanny valley. The editing and continuity is appalling. And what the fuck is with all the slow motion shite?
Utter utter drivel. “Ant and Dec” need to leave this shit behind assuming they want any kind of career moving forward. Lowest common denominator total and utter shit.

One of mrs simple’s friends has been having an affair without realising it. Or dating anyway. She thought that one of the single dads from the school group chat was just being nice and making a new friend who she was meeting for coffee and then drinks with. Her husband is less than chuffed that she hadn’t picked up on why her new friend was so funny and charming.
She’s also too polite and embarrassed to give a hard no so is going for a “talk about my husband all the time so the new man realises I’m off the market” approach.
