I’ve still got most of mine. Collected them on holiday trips back to the states. Sucks when the two weeks are up and you’ve only got a couple to go for the montage on the backs, no chance of getting more and a chipped tooth from the fucking ‘gum’

An update on the yo-yo.
She saw me using it by the back door and was like 'is that a yo-yo'? I played it cool, and just said 'yeah' then flipped it up for a finger bind into a green triangle.
I'm not sure if it was just the wind, but there was a noise I am choosing to interpret as a gasp of amazement. And she asked if she could have a go.
'Of course' I told her, offering the ring of the yo-yo to her outstretched finger. She slipped it on, as I imagine she will one day do at our wedding.
She threw the yo-yo down and it didn't come back up, and she didn't know why. I explained that it's an unresponsive yo-yo and offered to show her how to do it.
I stood behind her, holding her hands out and helped her do her first bind. It was like that scene from Ghost where they did pottery. Except more rad.

In reality it was just a guy showing a lady how to retrieve an unresponsive yo-yo. A quite normal, regularly occuring thing, I should imagine.
The cherry blossoms swirling in the wind and the angels singing might have been my imagination... but the sense of wonder everyone in that car park felt when I hit that green triangle? That my friends was as real as it gets.
For every big success in my life there are ten epic failures. So I'm happy for myself even if no one else is.

It's just... well, I guess I'd be sceptical too if someone claimed to woo a total stranger with a yo-yo, but Daisy and I have known each other for a while now, and although I'm not 100 percent confident, there are strong signals that she is interested too.
We talk everyday, have gone out for lunch and sometimes even after work, so there is at the very least a friendship there.
This isn't some woman who has been ignoring me for weeks who suddenly went weak at the knees because of my talent with a yo-yo.

I know the glove is supremely dorky and never had any intentions of wearing it. I just thought it might add to my legend if I made out I was going to wear it while yo-yoing in Central park.
