Back to the book club talk, that's what we tell the wine bar is happening once a month when we go out and get the back room to ourselves, they don't have to know its for something else. Also some of those who turn up tell friends it's a book club.

So an unresponsive yo-yo is basically like turning on god mode. Compared to a standard yo-yo, you have virtually unlimited spin. Literally upwards of 40 seconds, more than enough time to do any of the complex cradling that seemed out of reach for 13 year-old Rodimus. The downside is that it's actually not that easy to get it back up. I've been watching youtube tutorials on binding, and it's just not clicking for me yet. And it needs to. Because this bad boy came with a cool glove. I'm gonna look amazing, if i can just figure out how to make the blasted thing return to me.  |

Not an f-ing clue, Rum Monkey. All i know is it came in the box and looks pretty special.
A quick google says that they've been used to win countless world titles. Something to do with lowering friction, and preventing string burn.
And i didn't intend for this, but the pink/blue actually turns into a purple/turquoise blend in motion. Just like my Cyberpunk character's nail varnish.

Figured it out. Who'd have thunk it - but because of the way the yo-yo is strung, it matters which side you bind it from. You need to bind from the side facing away from you and loop under, not the other way around.
Oh man, this is wicked. I still need to master breakaway binding... but damn. It's all coming back.
I'm pinwheeling, trapezing... just landed a talon grind into a bind. If i was girl, i'd be pretty impressed.

There was a brief craze in my school of making pompoms to put on gloves and scarves, wrapping yarn around the circles of cardboard.
Maybe that can be the next forum competition. Best pompom.

My wife went a bit crazy making Pom poms baubles last year during Xmas lockdown, you can get little folding plastic things that do the job of the cardboard. Sold a load of them for the school as they could do the Christmas fair
