I’m increasingly thinking that I have to have had COVID. About five weeks ago everyone in the house had a rough cold for a week, no fever, no throat pain, just feeling rough and snotty. Someone said this week that it starts with a cold for some people, a memo my dumb ass missed somehow. Ever since then and long after acute symptoms subsided I just feel run down constantly, low, tired, brain fog and my chest is always slightly tight/wheezy. Odd one, I’ll never know I guess 🤷♂️

Yep, the delta variant has way more symptoms. Sometimes all of them in a progressive manner. Mine has gone cough>cold/aches>temperature and lethargy. My wife's nausea/vomiting>aches>temperature>loss of smell. It's fucking weird illness

Been running errands all day today and seen the queues into the only petrol station in town have been constant since 8 this morning. Some old geezer got out of his car just now and started directing traffic... he's probably gonna get into a fight soon. I ordered £55 worth of groceries on ChopChop and £22 worth arrived. No meat bar the meatballs I ordered. Tempted to wander up there later to see if it's like a Fallout supermarket again just like March 2020

I’m suspecting the same about what I thought was sinusitis since you folks said the same about long covid, so many of the symptoms are matching up. I’ve basically got all the long covid symptoms listed on the NHS. I wasn’t particularly ill, just a cold and none of the headline covid symptoms, I’d been jabbed with the first dose a month before. Would explain a hell of a lot if that’s the case, simultaneously relieving to explain it and rather frightening to know how weird it is

If you're involved in a conversation with two women and one says they are getting their nails done on Saturday and asks what colour she should get, and you start talking about your character in CyberPunk, and how you gave her pearlescent purple nail varnish that looks turquoise in certain light, and one of the women are like 'that sounds so cool, i think i'm going to try to get that', and brings it up about a week later...
Does that mean i'm a Gok Wan-style fashion icon or is it more likely she potentially fancies me?
This person also talks about Transformers a lot, knowing i'm quite into them, and invited me for a drink on Friday where she tried to find out what my 'type' is and if i was interested in anyone in the office (she actually did this while i was having a conversation with a hot woman who sits next to me)... but at the same time directly asked my opinion on if she should start an office fling with someone else and mentioned that there is someone at a club she goes to that she is interested.
I'm ordinarily good at reading signals, but they're so mixed here. I'm worried i'm just her gal pal.

I did some freelance work pre-covid. My new job actually makes use of my abilities though, and my hope is it will lead into something even better in the future.
But my primary career goal right now is simply to court this woman.
I've never, ever, ever felt this way about any of the slappers who sniffed around me at my previous places of employment. But there is just something about Daisy. I've basically just spent the last 24 hours obsessing over everything i should have done differently last night... like when she asked my type, i shouldn't have played it cool and should have just shapely blonde women.
When she initially asked if i wanted to go out after work, i shouldn't have said 'maybe' and instantly resumed my conversation with the doe-eyed dame i sit next to.
I've been an idiot, but this is salvageable.

You need a new skin suit for those cold nights on your boat.

Erm, just seen a Harry styles video - sign of the times. It’s fucking great and clearly not a produced thing.

Have you tried scratching? I currently have chicken pox and scratching seems to be my number one hobby. Before that, I had similar symptoms Tomo Whut How long did you have the symptoms?! Been going on a year at least for me... Just accepted it tbh and try to deal with it best I can.

I wonder if I've had it. Between allergies, hangovers, colds (of which I had fewer) I frequently end up with symptoms of one sort or another.
Usually end up taking a LFT, which have always been negative. Once they are no longer free I'll doubt I'll pay, so might just have to ration the last ones I get out.

I think for me it's all stress related.

It's very brave of Coogan and I'm sure he'll do a good job, but I don't quite know why we need to be told it all again.

If they show how he was given essentially a free pass by everyone around him, including the corporation, then I think it's worthwhile. Those fuckers, a lot of whom are still alive and would need to be thinly fictionalised, could still do with a good shaming.

Coogan is trying a little too hard to earn his serious acting chops with this one. I don't need to see him leering at young girls in an orphanage, thanks. Or wrinklies in a morgue for that matter.
I'll definitely watch it anyway.

The problem with all these kind of dramas and reconstructions about sex offenders and murderers and whatnot is that they end up glorify the character.
And the victims and the trauma they faced is rarely looked into.
It would still be exploitative, but it would be better to see a dramatisation that looked at the victims and what they faced as a result.

My dad and I are both huge Coogan fans. We're both equally dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time. It's the most horrible but perfect bit of casting I could imagine.
