It would probably just be easier to shrink yourself so normal KitKats appeared massive to you Shrinking everybody would solve a lot of the world's resource problems There is a film about this…

Japanese kitkats are a trip The girl has a BYO advent calendar and last year we got a pack of random japanese kitkats and put on in each day. There was one 'Cherry Blossom Sake' which tasted like vodka flavoured with a glade plug-in. It was genuinely one of the most disgusting things I have ever eaten. I'm not sure if you're supposed to actually eat them, just collect

I quite enjoyed Downsizing, wasn't at all the film I expected it was going to be I agree entirely. Light hearted feelgood it was not, but (at least for cinema) realistic characters and a similarly realistic hard nosed world it was. Albeit with miniaturisation. Seemed to me like what Philip K Dick might have done with the idea - look at how it would be exploited and affect the social fabric.

My boss: we must enforce the most rigorous of security standards to all.
Also my boss: a senior management person wants this! break every rule to give them it.
Sigh.

dogbot - in my last place we were meant to onboard all new vendors, get sign off from infosec etc but I lost count of the times we got a "JFDI" request from an exec for some shitty new thing they brought in. Stresses me out just thinking about it.

Yeah, that sounds incredibly familiar.
It's my head (*infosec wave*) it'll all fall on should the shiny new marketing execs shiny new fucking non-MDM iPad get compromised, though, innit?
I've almost had the arse with it all, tbh.

Not really, unless you are also the ciso. If you are getting JFDIs from people you cant bat away, thats a process problem and your responsible person will eat shit if your controls fail.
Unless you are also the responsible person which is a failure in and of itself.

Yes, it's a process problem. I'm not the CISO. It's complicated and fucking stupid. Hey ho.

I wouldnt worry about it, then. If something wanders off, it will be the control owner and the CISO who gets it in the crease.
I own several security controls and I would drop bombs on anyone who asked one of my guys to override them.

It's not so much worry as being pissed.
You know, like farting into a gale. Why do I bother, sort of thing.

It is frustrating when you dont get management support to just be able to tell people to bugger off. One of the nice things working in security is being able to unironically tell everyone 'sorry, its more than my jobs worth'.

Bill Bailey did a bit in Part Troll about fusing four Kit Kat Chunkies together and pretending to be a tiny pixie eating a regular Kit Kat. That was 17 years ago. You think Nestle would’ve gone for it by now.

I often wish I could do that with various chocolates I like, all together reshaped in a KitKat style. I think my four fingers would be a Twirl, whisper, Yorkie and a Dime bar.

I'd have salted caramel kit kat chunky (although I possibly just dreamt this one up) then a custom daim bar that uses chunks of caramel instead of a big slab (like the dairy milk/daim bars you can get) Then a double decker Then a bounty because I'm a psychopath.
