You can get stuff specifically for ball skin. Not sure I'd be using the normal stuff.

Just to be clear, it's around the anus, and not up it, is that right? Can't see what harm it would do. If it was right up inside, coating the lining of the ring like a hot yellow pile cream then you'd probably ingest your own balls in pain. But if it was just on the skin outside then it should be fine.
