How about a sticky post with a Ko-Fi link in? I'd happily chuck in a couple of quid a month to keep the lights on.
At an age now where I like paying for stuff that is worthwhile, and this place (despite my post count) is definitely that.

I don't think we'll need a donation fund to keep the lights on tbh. This month had some weirdness with my cards but otherwise I can just pay the six bucks a month to keep it ad free. If anyone does want to throw a few quid at it, just use the link below and do the let the staff decide option.

The initial 50,000 views went in four days so it'll take more than that for a month unfortunately. Its $25 for 250,000 views so I'll do that for September and see how it goes, I assume things will get less busy as the novelty wears off...
