I've seen a few bands in Night and Day and wished I'd bloody written down or remembered who some of them were. Hindsight eh I’ve played there loads of times a long time ago, I can guarantee you wouldn’t have written us down though 😊 Hah, you never know, I might have been there at the time!

Saw Squid last week play a (for them) small show at Scala, with a lot of new material played off the upcoming album.
Have seen them 5 or 6 times now, first time in 2019, and the progression they have made as a band is amazing. They have always been ridiculously tight, but since the move to Warp Records the sound has evolved even more and they really are at the top of their game.

That must have been awesome, great venue for them too. I didn't realise they played fairly local to me in 2021 at a small venue in Totnes, gutted I missed them (also missed Metronomy as part of the same event last year too).

Wife was saying last night over dinner that we really should go to a gig soon, so I had a look at local listings in Devon and had missed that Nina Nastasia is playing in Exeter in April - promptly grabbed a couple of tickets...very much looking forward to seeing her live, been a fan since the mid 00's and have yet to see her.

Got tickets to the It's Always Sunny Live Podcast, not strictly music based though there are a few bangers in the show.

Just realised we have Dry Cleaning coming up on Tuesday night.
Really on the back of my wife loving them, but I'm warming to their style too.

Somewhat crestfallen to have not seen that Boards of Canada appear to be playing in London soon. Inevitably sold out.

Having to pass up on Carcass in a small club because I’m seeing Tim Key and a punk/indie all dayer the week before

Our gig supporting Shelton San (Estonian punk/noise band), and San Pedro Collective in Manchester went down really well last week, so that's pretty fucking cool and we're all very happy

Saw Beast in Black in Bristol on Wednesday night.
Really awesome live, the main singer has got such a good range on him, the high notes especially and the band put on a good show too, good interaction with the crowd.
Crowd was really we behaved too, no pushing, no swirling pits of death. All in all a really good night.

Got given a ticket to see Manowar this week. Not a band I normally listen too, but the cheese and bombast was enjoyable!

Just had the support acts for Blur in July announced. Paul Weller, The Selecter and (my personal most exciting name) snooker legend Steve Davis doing a DJ set! Really looking forward to it.
That's a week after seeing Pulp being supported by Wet Leg. Should be a couple of cracking gigs.

I've spent the day nursing a sore head after Hayseed Dixie last night. Bluegrass cover versions and lashings of beer made for an enjoyable evening!

Richard Osman's brother's band* tonight.
Just as good as ever, ten years after the last show I saw and thirty one years after the first time.
Everyone there was a young adult in the early 90s. 😁😭

Hundred Reasons and Hell is for Heroes last night in London. Felt like I was 20 again and Neon Handshake is still banger after all these years.

They are doing a gig near me in April, but it is acoustic only. Sleeper are playing the same venue a few weeks after, need to get tickets for that sorted soon.

Looking forward to seeing Suede again tomorrow night. Such a consistently good band over so many years with a great catalogue of solid tunes. New album pretty decent too. Can’t go wrong with Brett Anderson as lead he’s always so committed to every performance. Just a class act.

Yeah the only shame is he can't do the high notes anymore, so he doesn't even try.
When they played the whole of Coming Up to celebrate 25 years he gave all the high notes to the audience so there was a *lot* of that during that show.

He did a few last night but none of the really sustained ones like years ago, most of which he spoke... and there's none in the newer songs and hasn't been for a while either.
His voice is still really strong though.

Jealous you got to go to this, all the clips on instagram look fantastic. The new Hundred Reasons album is their best since their debut too. I gave it a shot out of curiosity and have listened to almost nothing else since.

Right, because we're obviously brilliant, we just needed 30 mins playing a gig in Manchester to get another 2! Go fuck yourself pink Floyd.
Anyway, any Manchester bound people can witness our amazing beauty on Friday 17th March at the Peer Hat in Manchester. There are 3 bands on, and it's about 6 quid you tight twats, so no excuse.
I will be bringing out my black book this time if you don't turn up
