Just bought tickets to see Pile at the Brudenell in April. I should probably make an effort to go this time and not just buy tickets and forget about them.

Really hopping QOTSA announce some UK arena shows and not festivals next year... however seeing they've already announced a load of Euro festivals I'm not optimistic. I fucking hate festivals. Josh is a bit of a dick and it's not the QOTSA of old of course, but I passed up the chance to see them late 90s/00s a few times and always regretted it.

They're gonna be touring more than just the festivals. Strongly rumoured to have an album ready for release prior to the shows. I went and saw the bass players solo show last week and without going into specifics he said they're gonna be really busy next year.

Just back from a trip down the road to see Pennywise and Dropkick Murphys. Was great. If I'm honest though I preferred Pennywise, which is ironic as it wasn't even them that were meant to be supporting originally.

Saw The Darkness tonight. Last saw them at Leeds festival in the height of their 'Permission to Land' pomp. They're better now. I was shocked at how tight they were. Lots of laughs and lots and lots of guitar heroics and pyro. You'd definitely have Justin Hawkins as the virtuoso on the guitar but Dan has one of the best Les Paul rock tones I've ever heard in real life.
Blackstone Cherry were the co-headliners and they were competent (their singer is a very proficient lead guitarist and has a very strong voice in a yarly way) but embarrassingly sh*te. A faux-redneck Nickelback. Their first album has some half-decent moments and came across like a less dark, southern rock take on Soundgarden. Now it's Kid Rock style mall rock with better guitars. We lasted a song and a half and accepted the early night like the old f*ckers we are now. Apologies to any fans.

Anyone ever seen the San Pedro Collective? Has the drummer from pre Fall / The Smiths days. We're supporting them in Manchester at Aatma (Peer Hat) on Thursday 16th Feb. Sorry for FB link, but it has all the info - www.facebook.com/Sanpedrocollectivemcr/

No but I've seen him play about 4 or 5 years ago in Night and Day with a band who were very good, but I can't remember their name - so maybe I have.
I fancy seeing House of All and tickets went on sale today, but I'm swamped around those dates and reckon there will be another tour real soon.

Being able to leave early because the headliner is bad, or just not your jam, is gold.

Lucky enough to see The Darkness & Black Stone Cherry at Wembley Arena sat night.
EPIC night and The Darkness took the prize with their pomp and pure joy over BSC for me. They are one of our best English rock bands in their prime and are so confident in delivering it.
BSC were also great but as regular fans the set was a little familiar but they were enjoying themselves and still rocked it out.
Brilliant value for money double header!

Royal Blood tickets for Brighton beach in the bag, sweet. So gutted it's on the beach... I can't be doing with that. Saw them at Brighton Dome in '14 or something and it was fucking awesome, they should play there again as a gift to home town fans (although we all secretly know their real home town is here in Worthing, of course...).

Yeah we have seen them a couple of times and they are great live. I can put up with it being on the beach as I don't have to travel to bloody London for a change.

Next up for us in a couple of weeks is Stone Broken. Really looking forward to it as it’s a small gig at a local venue we can walk to.
If you like nickelback but would prefer a UK version you can do a lot worse! Plus they’re from near the missus’ home town and the drummer is a kick ass redhead lady so she loves them too! (Always a bonus)

Fucks sake, had Palaye Royale tickets for the Hammersmith Apollo and the fucking car died on the way up. Battery managed to completely discharge itself in the time we were in the services. Hoping it starts this morning so I can go and get a replacement. I'm fucking jinxed with gigs at the moment.
Got panic at the disco tickets in March and work won't let me have a day off so that's going to be a nightmare too.
