Thank you everyone who responded to my questions, much appreciated ☺️ No worries. Whereabouts are you now? Hey so I picked it back up farmed souls for moss and headed to blightown please tell me there's a tip or trick to not find yourself permenantly toxic? Darts seem to be flying around from all angles. Where is the bonfire. I accidentally fell off a big wheel after racing through my moss reserves and rage quit before finding a bonfire

If you can't beat them, join them. I'm sure you have plenty of dung pies from those infested barbarians. Chuck enough of those to become toxic, and then they can't make you toxic!

No worries. Whereabouts are you now? Hey so I picked it back up farmed souls for moss and headed to blightown please tell me there's a tip or trick to not find yourself permenantly toxic? Darts seem to be flying around from all angles. Where is the bonfire. I accidentally fell off a big wheel after racing through my moss reserves and rage quit before finding a bonfire Yes, it's a twat isn't it! There are 2 bonfires. One is on a stone bridge type structure about "half way down". The waterwheel takes you right to the bottom and the top where you can leave via the back entrance (where the barbarians are with clubs). The other bonfire is also at the bottom. Imagine being on that waterwheel and taking the ride to the bottom, hop off and go towards the swamp. At this point, the boss is right and the bonfire is left, in a little cave. That should help you at least avoid backtracking when dying. For the toxic guys, if you have the spider shield (from the depths) that helps. You need to block the darts and close the gap on them and whack them. They do not respawn thankfully. Take blooming purple moss with you and put it in your shortcut item thing, as that's the only thing that cures toxic. Or become toxic as ltk said. Additional- if you go back to the undead asylum again, there's a ring you can find that helps your mobility in the swamp. You can do it without this ring, just makes it easier. If it's any consolation, I have just got to shitetown myself so am about to do the same shit! Also, when you get to the bottom bonfire, and are ready for the boss, go human and you'll be able to kill an npc invader. Then, when you get to the boss fog door, you'll see a soul sign of said npc that you can summon for the fight. Another tip, if you go to sens fortress before blighttown and go to the front gate (you can see sens from Andre's bonfire in the parish), you can't get in, but you can talk to an npc (siegmeyer). If you talk to him, he'll then appear later on in various locations. Blighttown is one of them. Just initiates his quest line if you fancy that kinda thing. (Plus if you do all his questline, you'll be rewarded with a titanite slab)

I've already got the rusted iron ring I think is this the ring you speak of?!

Ltk will have to answer that as I've never made myself toxic.
Ah, yes, that's the ring, nice one.
The swamp is a pain to explore but there's some good stuff down there. And secret stuff. Hit things with your sword.

I think if you make yourself toxic, it’s a far less severe version than if you get it from the darts.
Kind of like getting covid after being vaccinated. Kind of.

Yup, as Rob says, dung pie toxicity as far less severe, with a really low tick rate compared to the darts. So cover yourself in shit and you'll be fine.

I have two characters standing in Priscilla's arena, with no dagger, which appears to be the one thing preventing the plat from popping. Grrrr And done. Onto Demon's

Womp womp:
Might as well turn them off. It's painful waiting for the network responses to timeout on first load and when you want to exit.

Had some great coop last night with a random. At the anor Londo bonfire after the archers. And I managed to poison the archer this time. That was nice. Got past first go.
Anyway, summoned this person and they knew exactly where to go, so we mopped up practically all of anor pretty quick, and also dealt with an invader too. Brought solaire along for the ride and took out o and s. O first too, so got ornsteins drops which was pretty good.
Placed the Lord vessel via Frampt instead of kaathe and now I'm pretty much ready to rock. Level 50 something which is overleveled but had to do that to get the 32/18 requirements for the bkh. Which is on +4 now too.

Not gonna lie, as I was reading the tweet I kept dreading that at some point it would just go "In order to ensure the network issues are properly taken care of, Elden Ring's release will unfortunately be delayed to X" or something...

I beat Manus! \o/
That’s another first for me, after Kalameet a couple of days ago. I used the stone plate ring, encumbrance <50% and Havel’s armour (+Mask Of The Child to complement the Grass Shield). Felt a bit cheesy with all that physical defence but whatever, I quit after dozens of attempts on playthrough 1 so fuck him.
Just the Kiln of the First Flame now, then I’ll be set for Elden Ring…

There's probably something to say that many of us turn into the Crestfallen Warrior eventually. Build after build. Reroll after Reroll. Idling in a spot as the hours pass.

I was going to have a break before Elden Ring, but went and did a restart of DS3 just to see if I remembered it more or less than DS1. Turns out the answer is about the same, but I’ve gone with a cleric and I’m halfway though High Lothric already. Definitely won’t finish it before the 25th though, so it’s probably a fool’s errand!

Well, tomb of the giants is fun after a few years off with no light source. Got the lantern now but bloody hell, even with decent upgraded armour and a op weapon, it's still fucking nails.
I'm still trying to find the second bonfire...

It’s weird the Tomb of the Giants, those big bone dogs always seem to take two or three hits no matter which weapon I use. However I’ve played with summons who just plough through the level one hit killing every single enemy
I assume that they’ve overloaded STR or something but even then they must be pretty low level, last time I did it I was sub 30 SL and it was tough going

You just need a large club. Smash smash smash smash.

Yeah you’re spot on there. I never use a big ‘strike’ weapon, might give it a try next time

It does the job. Mind you, the large club does the job for everything. Including invaders. Ah, the good old roll and downward stab...
