You can get the tail in a single swing with the biggest, heaviest weapon you can find, if I remember right. You simply jump attack the tip. And then go to Oswald for forgiveness so Priscilla deaggros!

Well, it's a bit more involved than that. You actually exit the painted world without attacking Priscilla first, use an outside bonfire to warp back to the painted world, get the tail cut, Homeward Bone out of the fight, then go to Oswald for forgiveness. If you don't do the first loop then you just get Homeward Boned back to the bridge.
Bonus: You get unlimited tries at the first-try tail cut if you Homeward Bone after every failed attempt!

I was wondering about exiting the PW and getting back there

I’m impressed with that tip
I’m fairly sure that her health bar is invisible when she is, but could easily be wrong. Good luck

I beat Kalameet! \o/
Ended up using Havel's ring and a Guardian armour combo (at <25%) just like I did for Artorias Knight - seems I'm not as good at dodging and cartwheeling as I want to be. I certainly need a shield anyway. I also had to go back to Uchigatana, because the Furysword's fire damage wasn't helping - and took a brief detour to finally get it to +15. It seems fitting to finish with it, this entire run has been Uchi and Furysword and almost nothing else. (I did try the gold and silver tracers for a bit but, again, I need a shield more).
That means I've bested Kalameet for the *first* time, having completely missed him on playthough 1. Now if I can just beat Manus, I'll have finally completed the entire DS1 boss set...

Forgot about repairing weapons! Without realising it, I took on gaping dragon with a sword with 10 durability. Oops.
Fixed that now.
Shitetown it is!

Wasn’t that a downside to the 60fps upgrade - it made Souls weapons break twice as quickly? I probably dreamt it, but still…

I'm using a bss too which only has 120 durability and I got up to depths without repairing it once, which probably didn't help...

It was fixed in SotFS and don't think it was an issue in the remaster. I was the same quad. I mistakenly thought weapons were repaired upon resting like in DS2, but they're not!

Well in the ensuing panic fighting the gaping dragon, I cleverly got flustered and changed to my bow. That really helped.

Still think the Gaping Dragon's intro is immense.

Point of order, technically the visible part on the outside is the vulva not the vagina, Gaping Dragon is a big toothy vulva, I have lots of friends and am very popular at parties why do you ask

On a similar note I learned the other day that the visible bit of the ear isn't the ear at all, but the Pinna.
It's not Dark Souls or fanny related but I still think it's valid.

A pinna dragon probably wouldn't look as interesting

Oh I don't know, you should see mine. Good Housekeeping described it as "one sexy motherfucking pinna" back in 2008.

So should we be calling them pinnarings and pinnamuffs? Not to take it back to fannies or anything
