I enjoyed it enough. But uninstalled it after finishing and have 0 reason to go back to it unless they add enough new content. 60fps isn't going to do it.

NMS is another game that launched rough but had a lot of promise at its base/core of the game and also the devs care about the game (its still getting free major updates) Arkane hated working on the game. They just need to do the 60 patch and the character dlc they have to do and move onto a better game like another Prey or dishonoured

I did drop back into it earlier this week, deciding whether to keep it installed. Think I’ll play it through in small blasts when I can turn my brain off.

The ship has definitely sailed on this one. They had to to an update but I don't think it's going to suddenly resurrect it, sure they may be a little spike of interest but not enough to turn it around. I mean it speaks volumes that one of the improvements is "stealth takedowns".

They can fix the frame rate and fix bugs but the game is so bare bones, they can't fix that without adding more gameplay/mechanics. It didn't play well at launch in terms of shooting, it felt awful

Tried this out for myself, runs at 60 so that's nice. AI is still awful even when you shoot an enemy next to them, stealth takedowns are still that basic melee hit to the back unless you have a stake launcher, it looks a bit visually better, you still can't pause the game so you'll be in options trying to make the controls better and people will still shoot you. I'm struggling to see how they can turn this around when the gameplay issues are so fundamentally deep.
When you consider how many great games have come out this year it's very difficult to see why you should give a shit about this admittedly mediocre game.

That's what I would have expected. Otherwise, any other players would basically have to do nothing while the stealth character was trying to take down an enemy so as not to alert/aggro them
Given the reception and low turn out, I suppose most people were playing it solo anyway
I'd still rather they turned it into something decent

I don't think that's on the cards. It's issues are on game design level. I can't see Bethesda paying for that level of restructure.
