Seems images from the Alpha have been leaked. According to leakers the game is not a Left 4 Dead style game it's essentially Borderlands with no cell shading and with vampires, has the same loot system too.

The few words above did far more to get me interested in playing it than that waste of space pre-rendered trailer. Actually sounds right up my street and I'll be keeping an eye on it now.

This opens up the new Bethesda showcase video. Looks really good but for me will live or die on how well it controls and even more on how many confusing mechanics are in it.

The gunplay and movement in deathloop were pretty decent to be fair, if this handles like that then I won't have too many worries.

It's good they didn't tbh you know as soon as exclusivity ends they go on gamepass, we dont need to see them again.

Like a GamePass montage with quick flashes of those two games. They didn't need stage time with their own presentations, but just confirmation I guess. |

I imagine exclusivity means they can't even talk about it, nor throw it up on that big "the next 12 months" slide with dozens of game logos on it.
Redial hadn't done much for me to date. My theory was that if Back 4 Blood - made by the people that more or less perfected the formula - couldn't get my juices flowing then this wasn't likely to. But that was pre-Deathloop.As frogofdoom says, if they've borrowed any of that know-how from Arkane Lyon then we're in for a treat I think. Felt like the net code in Deathloop was pretty solid too, albeit only two player.
It's Gamepass so I'll be trying it out regardless, but after last night I'm genuinely intrigued.

Probably couldn't do it without breaching the exclusivity contract somehow. They're a couple of bonus games to look forward to, so all good. |

Arkane are a safe pair of hands. I've no doubt this will be at least 'good', most likely pretty great.

Arkane are great, so interested in whatever they do. I thought Deathloop was one of their weaker games though and this looks like it is similar in some ways. I'm also not sure how well their style will translate to a multiplayer game.
It could be interesting and I think there is scope to make Borderlands more interesting than Gearbox ever have (which is a mostly fine game, but I've always found the abilities/character customisation being flat and the co-op mechanics pretty much non-existent).
I'll certainly be playing (Game Pass, so why not), but not sure if I will be able to persuade anyone else to join me. Will depend on whether it works good enough as a single player or not as to whether I end up enjoying it much.

It will apparently be always-online and at least currently it's 70 € on Steam. I don't think I will bother. Seems Colantonio had good reasons for leaving.
