Their show at Christmas had a 'this is the last one I'm doing' vibe that was genuinely heart wrenching. He seemed like a genuinely great guy. I loved the ones where they toured America.

All the pictures and press for Hairy Bikers Go West really look like they’re a long goodbye now. Some real heartbreaking photos of the two of them together looking like they must have know it was their last ride together.

Richard Lewis also sucks. He's looked on death's door for the past few seasons of Curb.

He was so much more than a colleague, I think part of their charm was their healthy representation of male friendship. You could tell they actually loved each other. Oh god I'm going...!

Yeah I just caught the statement. Fucking hell. That's up there with s tribute I saw for, I think it was Iwata of Nintendo, where someone wrote that to say goodbye would be to imply they wouldn't be seen again. Because nobody knows what happens after we die, he wrote "until next time" in the hope they'd meet again.

Or Bruce lee actually became a secret agent.. only a really boring lie. I love these weird contemporary urban legends. When I was at school, I was told unequivocally that Prince had a rib removed to, ahem, better facilitate an act of self pleasure. As this sort of thing seemed on-brand for Prince, I just accepted. Anyway, fast forward ten years and my little brother runs home from school to tell me unequivocally that Marilyn Manson had a rib removed to give himself a blow job. |
