Another British comics legend joins the list with John Burns passing away on Friday, he'd retired in October due to illness. His work on The Order for 2000AD was fantastic but he'd been in the business for decades. RIP.

It’s been announced that Ana Ofelia Murguía, who voiced great grandmother Coco in Coco, has passed away aged 90.
While I admit I know little of her work, I will say that Coco, the ending especially, was the last time I got fully emotionally drawn into a Disney film. Floods of tears, shoulder shaking, ugly crying level stuff.

i'm sure we've some teacher or teacher-adjacent font geekers who'll be able to comment with authority, my impression of Camila Batmanghelidjh (Kids Company founder died on the 1st) was one of suspicion for sidling up to and endabling Tory messaging on education, hoovering up money which would have been better spent in the general education budget. That said in reading the obits it seems she succesfully cleared her name of many the things she was accused of so perhaps I'm being unkind. Freddie's axe cares not either way.

minimatt I worked with the examiner that ran the disqualification action, and I'veread the affidavit (which seemed to have her, at least, bang to rights). He was absolutely enraged when it was thrown out, saying that the Judge seemed to be scared of the publicity and sided with Kid's Co from the start.
