Omar was just the best. And I‘ve watched Motherless Beooklyn just yesterday on Netflix, where he’s Miles Davis in all but name.

There’s a lovely video of him and Wendell Pierce (Bunk) at some awards ceremony. I hope when it’s my time, a friend speaks about me so beautifully & eloquently. Sad, sad news

Such a talented actor, like many the first time I saw him was in Omar in The Wire. But since he had so many amazing performances, to many to mention them all but standouts for me were Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire, Freddy Knight in The Night Of and Bobby McCray in When They See Us.

Aw man, that has bummed me out.
I remember discovering The Norm Show at random one night on channel 4 in my late teens and then religiously tapping it every week (because they seemed to hide it in the schedule at ungodly hours) to watch the following morning.
