I know it's early days but what's everyone's new years fitness goal?
Mine is to lower my body fat %, Increase my flexibility, And develop my shoulder muscles and biceps.
While my triceps have always developed well, I'll have to put in extra effort on the other muscles.
I also aim to increase my level of cardio. I've been skipping in the gym and am almost ready to attempt other techniques, eg boxer step.

I’ve got to lose 2 and a half stone by august for my wife’s 50th Maldives holiday. Started today with a two hour walk. Going to mix up walking with press ups and exercise bike (this routine has worked in the past). I’ve also just started dry January which should help too.
So I’ll obviously have gained a couple of pounds by feb 1st…

Similar here - drop some fat and increase cardio health. Might work on some strength goals again in the 2nd half of the year. First few months is getting back into the good habits that I completely fucked when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. Last 6 months just completely unravelled in terms of health and fitness goals and now I need to pick them all back up. I’m quite looking forward to it though - spent too much time without adhering to any kind of “rules” and it feels gross tbh.

Mine is just to get healthy, not as detailed as others but I'm fed up being knackered all the time.
So I had what I hope was my last smoke about 10 mins ago and signed up for a gym with my first introductory session on Wednesday as I really have no idea how to workout, use the machines/weights and I likely have the worst form in history. I also chose a gym I walk past on my way home from work 5 days a week, so I have no "oh it's so out of the way" excuse.
If I could lose a bit of weight, build the right muscles to sort out my curved shoulders and posture then that's a good result for me. Anything else will be a bonus.

My goals are to increase my strength in my legs and shoulders. My knees are suffering badly and I think that's the cause. Tough line to tread as there's something going on too but fed up of twinges every time I move. And lose weight, drink less, Yadda Yadda.

Step dad went from pancreatic just over a month ago and the main thing I learnt from it is that if any help is offered then take it, while most people prefer it to eventually happen at home there's no shame in a hospice if needed as it's not just an aid to the patient but also those around.

May have accidentally gained 7kg in the last two weeks. Now have 29kg to shift instead of 22kg. Oh well.

Opposite problem for me... I need to start gaining weight again as it's been gradually dropping off since stopping drinking in September. Cutting out 1000ish calories a day over the weekends really does have an impact... Who'd have thunk it!
Any tips for calorie dense foods that aren't totally shit for you?
