Unless you’re cutting for a Mr Ramadan/bodybuilding event, you don’t really need to be doing the white meat and broccoli diet imo

Really tried to focus on form today, dropping the weight where necessary. Took fucking ages this week and I'm still feeling it now, about 10 hours after the workout.
I assume that's a good thing.
Have eased up a bit on the diet - allowed myself a few oven fries and a Freddo as a special treat.

Definitely mistimed this weight cut. I'm as lean as I've ever been in my life but fuck me I've never felt the cold like this before. Just can't get warm at all.

I wouldn't worry, I'm not starving myself and it's still bloody cold out there!

Had my kids and my folks here for a week, then spent a couple of days with me bird, so no I've had a week off.
Back on it this afternoon though. Figured Xmas would be tricky but the four weeks or so I did paid surprisingly big dividends, so I'm confident of being relatively hench in March.

I’ve gained a stone this year, none of it is muscle.

Could be worse, I've gained half a stone in about 5 weeks and definitely none of that is muscle. I'll probably hit a stone by new year and sort it then.

I generally fluctuate quite a lot, and just don't have it in me to use the gym anymore (for an extended period I used to go 6 times a week when boxing). I just can't face that commitment these days, it doesn't fit with family life and to be honest I can't be bothered.
This year I've made an effort to eat a lot better, use my boxing bag regularly and play football twice a week, so that's helped me keep the weight gain down. I'm a shortass, stocky 41 year old, so I can balloon quickly if I let it happen. Have to say though, this December I've noticed the weight creeping back (not enough to feel uncomfortable in my clothes yet) but I know after this Christmas period I'll need to knuckle down again.
I got to a point a couple of years ago where I told myself I didn't care about gaining weight and as long as I was happy I wasn't bothered, but I was kidding myself, I always feel better when carrying less timber. I'll never be skinny, but there is a weight I'm generally more happy at.
I do think however that at the 50 age mark I'll be more content to look like a Warhammer fantasy dwarf, but I'm not quite there yet 😆

Got fat as fuck after making progress around spring time. Reckon I will have to go completely beer-free and be strict with packed lunches in the new year.

Have any of you tried amphetamines? I became a Davinciesque anatomical model when I was doing it on the regular. Baby penis and all.
I'm actually kidding, but the penis bit was absolutely true. But don't do amphetamines. That was the jokey bit. Best of luck at this time of year, it's probably the worst time to avoid the richer food.

Went to the gym today, enjoying the relative peace before the new year's resolution influx.
Waa a wee bit busier than usual, but only because people are off work, or due to the gym running reduced hours the next few days.
We'll see what the new year brings. Hopefully everyone will flock to the newer gym instead & leave me in peace. 😀

Bit rude. Book her a consultation for vaginal tightening next Christmas and see how she enjoys it.

One month after covid and I feel set back by 6-9 months. Unable to do weights I could do a month ago and absolutely knackered for it

Back in the gym today after a brief pigs-in-blankets related hiatus, felt pretty good. Theresa May was there, I imagine she probably sends her regards to you all.
I smashed out a punishing intervals routine on the treadmill - It's just on the cusp of being beyond my current fitness level, which is kinda how you want it. Starts at 16kph, tops out at 18kph, with 1 minute intervals of running and walking, total time 31 minutes, total distance 5.6k. Absolute fucking bastard.

One of my mates from work had it a year ago, still gets exhausted walking anywhere and had to leave our job as he was unable to do it any more. Was fit as a fiddle before and did loads of martial arts. Affects everyone differently but most are fine on no time at all so I wouldn't worry too much.

Putting a stone on will have had more of an impact on that then covid I would imagine.

I’d suspect that too. Covid hasn’t helped through breaking my habit of fitness and eating reasonably well. It did go up to mid 60s straight after the first time I had it and didn’t gain the weight. I’ve since had it so often that every time I start getting back into exercise then I get covid again.
