On reflection I guess the primary school has some reason, pedestrian attendees do have to cross a half km bridge that spans an estuary which is a living hell in a storm but the secondary school will just be business as normal.

Same situation Freddie, kid at home today. We have loads of big trees on the walk to school, and in the school grounds so understand the reasons behind closing. Annoying though.

Work laptop updated to allow biometric unlock or unlock via PIN - previously has to use password.
To my mind a "PIN" should be a short number, thus making unlocks a tad quicker.
For some reason though our PIN requires 8 characters, at least one upper and lower case letter and a special character.
That's not a PIN. That's a password FFS

Thats just asking for people to reuse passwords as PINs. That said, my bitlocker pin is laughably simple so whatever.

Fuck modern cars in general (not from some greeny POV) merely that when they go wrong sometimes (like now) nobody has a scooby how to fix them.
It's fine for the fuckers who can afford to buy new or drive on rolling contracts with newish cars or whatever but the poor fuckers who have no choice but to buy second hand and keep them running have no choice.
Actually fuck the manufacturers.
I'm seriously thinking about ditching my 2013 Golf and getting a Mk 2 GTI 16V, the only thing stopping me is that a car of that age is so much unsafer in the event of a crash.
