Wtf. Somehow missed that one. I've been a goggle one subscriber for ages because I couldn't be bothered going through the faff of clearing stuff down, but got dragged in to helping my missus recently.

Just had carpet installed today and they've done a shit job. They supplied the wrong coloured carpet strips (we ordered black, they arrived with nickel ones), they scuffed up all the skirting boards we'd spent the last 4 weekends painting (and I mean *all* of it), there's chunks missing where they cut it badly, especially on the stairs, the carpet on the landing is at a wonky angle which is really noticeable because of the pattern, the bottom of the stairs is poorly fitted, the list just goes on and on if you keep looking...

My other half has emailed them and now we're in limbo as we were hoping to put all the furniture back.

Yeah it's their fitters, though they were both really young apparently. The oldest was 25 at most according to my missus.

It's frustrating because we went with a local family business just down the road from us who have been there for decades, so we thought it'd be a good standard but I feel like we'd have been better off going to carpet right now.
