Had a carrier/racing pigeon visit today. Hopefully just for a quick pit stop before it goes back to his journey. Shadowed me the whole day in the garden.

Awful photo, but doing a barbeque right now so can't really leave it to go get my camera/lenses sorted out. There's a red kite sitting in the tree at the bottom of my garden. See them loads but I've noticed this one sitting there quite a bit recently. Edit: Got a better photo

One of my favourite things about my house is being able to see bats fly about in the garden at night.

We normally get bats each summer but not seen any yet this year :-( It's been too wet/cold

That thing looks like Khan Noonien Singh should be prising it's back open with a pair of tweezers, extracting its' young and jamming them in Chekov's ear.

Heard this little nugget moving around yesterday evening on the way to our neighbour's feeding station. They've made a little tunnel under our fence too.

I found a wee lil frog in the garden while I was mowing the lawn. Little guy was very lucky not to get minced up. Going to have to start walking over the lawn before I mow now to try and flush anything out now.
Very happy to have something munching all the slugs and snails - just hope he can avoid the neighbourhood cats.

We have quite a few frogs in our garden. If you step on one it sounds like a dog's squeaky toy.
