Just had to have one of our cats put to sleep. Minnie (don't ask), black and white rescue cat. Street cat as well, despite her size, she took no prisoners. Bless her. First pet the current Ms Eleven63 and I got. Sad day. That's the problem with pets, the fuckers die on you! Raising a glass later. RIP Minnie. Sorry to hear this. I am dreading this moment with my cat. Remember all the good times! |

Little Miss Fluffybottom has kennel cough and is now on antibiotics. She's okay apart from the cough and bit more lethargy than normal. Can't mingle with other dogs til it's gone. No idea where she got it and this is after the vaccine as well but there you go. I didn't actually know that there were strains that it didn't cover and she could always get it anyway. Less severe than it could be because of the vaccine though, so that's something.  |

Aww, poor little mite! Hope she gets well soon.
My parents' Lab was in the same position last year, and they found that giving her a generic cough medicine - I think it was Benylin - helped to alleviate the symptoms. (Obviously check with your vet first, as they did!)

Our vet said to try mixing a little bit of honey with her water but tbh we're a bit wary of that - not sure why, just don't want her to get used to having sweet honey water all the time - but yes, she's getting spoiled.

Yeah good thanks man. Cough all but gone now. Last day of anti-biotics today and the last 2 days she's been a lot brighter and back to her crazy self in the mornings. A few more days she'll hopefully be able to meet with other dogs again. The vet said a week but elsewhere we read about 10 days so will give it a bit just to be safe.

The black cat is Toffee, Tribble is the other one. Toffee is my moody teenager but when she's feeling affectionate she's lovely. Tribble just loves everyone.
