That loaded without a picture at first so I thought it was a reference to flushing massive amounts of shit down the toilet.

It could still be the case. Maybe dogbot ate five day old roast chicken.

Cost I get, but guilt no. On the days we don't walk her, our dog goes out with a lovely lady and, even better, other dogs. She's whining at the door to get out as soon as she hears the van. I'd be able to afford half days at best, and more likely a lunchtime walk. Couldn't leave them alone for that long. In any event I'd want to take a month off work for the homecoming (socialisation, training etc) and that's completely off the cards. Oh sure, you need that first bonding. After that and them being grown up a midday walk is fine if you're there morning and evening. More socialization than walking them on your own.

Daddy’s been off work, so he’s had a busy week and it’s taken a toll… Tucked in and tuckered out ❤

Bet he's never been happier though. Yeah, he's enjoyed himself. Both Mrs dogbot and I work from home anyway but we do both work, so sometimes he has to entertain himself or nap if we're busy. This week, he's been everywhere I have except for a trip to the supermarket, so it's been really good. Lots of long hikes. 😎

Ticks, lol. They are genuinely the one insect I can't deal with. And I used to catch trapdoor spiders but these things make me squeamish.

Yeah, eggs have only just hatched recently. Worst one was one of my cats bringing in 5 chicks in a group, all barely alive. Disposing of them was unpleasant.

Dudley's currently shagging his blanket. He's been at it so long I'm starting to feel inadequate.

Bit of general advice needed (as usual) if anyone can help.
My Bernese is one year old today - the last week or so he's had a slight limp, on and off, when getting up after sleeping/laying down for a while. We've rested him (no walks, hard exercise, rough play etc) when this happens and just when we think we've cracked it (after he's been limp free for a day) we take him on a short walk and the issue is back the day after; I'd like to think we're just not giving him long enough to rest. It could also be growing pains. Other half is concerned it could be some form of dysplasia as one of the litter (of eight) has recently had to have an operation for it. He's had a limp before a few months ago, we rested him for a week and then he's been fine until these last couple of weeks.
Problem is it's reared its head again this morning and we're meant to be going to Northumberland for a week with the pooch tomorrow, which naturally would involve walking him a fair bit, going on the beach, playing etc.
Is this trip now a daft idea considering his current condition? Are we catastrophising over a limp? Are there any supplements/anti-inflammatories that are recommended? Really want to do what's best for the dog - if it means cancelling the holiday so be it (we won't be out of pocket).
Any advice welcome, thanks!

That really does sound like a trip to the vet, bigger dogs are really prone to hip dysplasia, especially when still growing.

Yep, definitely get it checked at the vets. And especially when they're growing shorter walks and not every day.
Even when they're full grown adults they need rest days someday. Despite what their body language tells you when they think they're going for a walk.
