Her coat is fine and she’s fairly social still, which is reassuring (she’s been properly under the weather before and acted very differently) but still going to have her checked as soon as we can. We’ve got a call in to our mobile pet to come out and see her, hopefully tomorrow, as they can do the wrangling then.
If I can actually see her drink some water I’ll be more reassured but she’s the cat equivalent of Sam Fisher when it comes to eating, drinking and using the litter box.

Set up some cameras around the house. You might even catch some spooky activity as a bonus

Managed to catch her drinking water so that’s reassuring. Either way, she’s got a fun vet trip tomorrow morning booked now.

Our breeder has been amazing. We went to meet the gang and get on the wait list almost 18 months before we ended up getting Kernow. We got constant pictures of him when he was born. We didn’t actually know which one was ours until collection day, she allocated the litter based on temperament and circumstance (we got given the hyper one since we were the only ones with no intention of starting a family).
She’s always available on WhatsApp for any questions we have, and our pack came with everything, including what his meal schedule had been and the like.

That is our guy Ziggy as a littleun. Like Zomaniac our breeder is very good, should we need anything they will be right there but we never do.
Now he is a fat lump. More my fault than his but he is good, he would totally win shows too had we been weirdos and into that sort of thing.

We've been through the ringer on this one but have come out of it ultimately reassured.
They'll be providing a contract, pedigree certificate with the lineage, food, a blanket that he's been using for a few weeks etc. I think they're just a bit old school and haven't caught up with the times, which we took to be evasiveness.

Good to see and probably right too, plus there is always handwringing on your side as it is a big change on the household but a worthwhile one. Have you got a name?

Also is your mentalist grey cat a British Blue? He’s a Scottish Fold. Thanks for that had a quick google and wow what a cool breed, these things are built for adorable pictures. Please add more when you can as we love your updates. My Grandma use to breed British blues and black for show back in Australia, that's why the colour reminded me of Blues.

Since you asked so nicely here he is in one of his many unorthodox positions trying to decide if he’s a cat or a seal.

I’ve spent a grand total of seven hours in the vets today. Four hours in emergency at 2 in the morning and another three during the day getting proper ultrasounds and whatnot. The cat threw up and then collapsed in the night so we rushed her in.
Apparently she just had a stomach bug or some other GI lining irritation and rather than trying to carry on through it just thought “meh I’ll just stop eating and drinking until I feel better”. So she’s now had a bunch of IV fluids, antibiotics and pain meds and is sulking under her chair for having been manhandled by vet techs.

It mostly freaked us out as the way she was acting was the exact same way our dog was acting the day or so before we had to put him down last month. So the emergency visit was as much for our peace of mind as it was for her health. She’s an obstinate little bugger. Despite how she looks there, she’s actually a little underweight.

She looks like she wants to scratch your eyes out.

Glad she's on the mend Grems. We took our headcase cat to the vets the other day - she said it was definitely allergies causing his scratching and overgrooming, but couldn't find any evidence of fleas. Dose of long release antibiotics as he's made himself sore, long release steroids to help with the itching and a suggestion to start with changing his flea treatment. If that doesn't work, look at food (as witchking suggested too but he's been on this stuff for years so don't think it's that). £120 please.

Glad to hear the cat is ok, Grem. Meanwhile, last night I get a text from the Mrs to say that whilst she went in the bath last night, she left Springwatch on for our big boy cat (her fave). Then a bit later, I get a message saying that he doesn't want her to change the channel, now... Eventually, she did change it and as a result, we got a 4am Cat Opera. Cats, man.

Since we got the 4k TV, one of our cats has become a right addict TV addict. Have to watch him though as he gets VERY interested in things he thinks he can pounce on...

Heh. We've got an old tablet that's only still around for this kind of stuff. Quite funny when you leave it on the stand and then hear a thud 10 minutes later when they try to take out a squirrel or whatever.

He's not very pouncy, that one. He's more a watcher. Careful, eyes on everything.
Also - Aha, I have worked out how to resize the images!
