Yes just search earlier in this thread for how to buy Gold and convert it to GP Ultimate. You MUST make sure you don't have an active Game Pass subscription before you start adding Gold memberships though. You can cancel your Game Pass subscription outright, there and then, or just let it expire. I bought 3x 12mth Gold subscriptions, then just a cheap £4 7 day GP Ultimate subscription (from eneba.com). Was £120 in total for 3 years GP Ultimate. You could do it even cheaper (around £80) if you buy Turkish Gold memberships and redeem them using a VPN, but there's a slight risk it may not work, I guess. There's some good info over on hotukdeals. Thanks. I got one year for £40 odd pounds and it let me change it for £1. Chickened out buying three incase it didn't work. .

250GB for Age of Empires 4 😳 Last time I checked, it was 90GB? What happened? The 4K videos. I can’t find a way to unbundle the install…
ETA: I have found the version sans videos. When 86GB is a small mercy, eh?

It's a shame that you chickened out of buying three. And that you didn't see my previous posts on this subject. Below, you see my brother applying 3 years of GPU, after buying a brand new Xbox Series S and using the £1 conversion trick. And here is me applying three years of Xbox Live Gold and then adding one month of GPU, to give me 3 years of GPU. And that is after having previously used the £1 conversion trick myself.

I have been writing myself out, getting those reward points. I’ve got almost enough for £20 and will use that to subsidise the Forza Horizon 5 premium add-ons bundle. Currently £35.99. I don’t mind giving them a little tip. And I get to play the game a few days early. Anybody with me? Or do we think it’sa ridiculous waste of money?

I did that with FH3 and 4 and may well do the same - will need to check my balance. Haven't looked into it for FH5 but for something I played so much it felt like I was getting more than my moneys worth with the free GP version and the top up did feel like a worthwhile tip.

If it works well on a wheel this time I'll end up buying the ultimate version upgrade, it'll be in a sale later on like always.

Tried that Unpacking game last night. Ended up playing it for a couple of hours straight, really addictive and as someone who moved house every 2/3 years between the ages of 18 and 32 it resonated on a few levels. Really interesting study in physical space Vs levels of ownership. Thinking back hard to remember the days of living in a one bed flat with kitchen storage consisting of a drawer and two cupboards.

I'm sure the Forza 5 premium upgrade will be worth it, it's got 2 expansions included and they're always smashing.

I didn't know Microsoft Rewards was a thing until i got the Series X, 2 months ago. I already have £15 worth of reward points and should have another £5 by end of Nov. Not bad at all for a few minutes a day on Bing and checking the Rewards app on the console. Ok i may have downloaded a few Game Pass games specifically to finish a reward set too.
Sony never gave me shit.
This is how they suck you in....

I did the cheapo 3 year game pass ultimate thing a year ago, are there any ways to cheaply extend it by a year?

Yeah Ive been really enjoying unpacking as well. Nice storytelling without actually telling you anything.
And It takes two is out today, which supposed to be excellent. I had a great laugh with A Way Out so hoping for more of the same.

Forza horizon 5 gets a recommended, to be expected given its an iterative revision, but sounds good in the review.
It also sounds like I will be lost by all the various game types and ignore loads of it.

It takes 2 is considerably better than a way out.

Think I'll end up buying the premium upgrade for Forza too. I've got the DLC for past games regardless, and feel like having something new to play this weekend.

Skill Up and ACG really like FH5 judging by the titles of their review videos.

I was in the same boat. When I bought my Series X 2 months ago I had no idea about Microsoft Rewards. Now 2 months later, I have 13,000 points which I assume is just over £11.00 approx.
Its certainly a nice incentive to keep you within the Microsoft eco-system. It never feels like busy work either, just need to spend a few mins a day at maximum.
Although its not really fair to say Sony never gave you shit. They were the first company to allow you to pay £70.00 for a new release. Incredibly generous of them I would say.
I think I have only turned on my PS5 once since owning the Series X.

Got a girl down to stay this week and she has nearly completed Unpacking for me, I have been sitting here watching my xbox rewards app complete itself with her help.

I didn't realise that was a thing, next time I go on holiday in getting one in to unpack for me. Does she do anything else?

Clearly not or I'd be having sexy times instead of watching her play the game.

The Skyrim Anniversary gubbins will cost £16 for special edition owners and game pass peeps. £48 if you don't fall into either category. I have to say they're proper taking the piss.

Three hours in, and The Forgotten City is pretty interesting so far. Still not quite sure what exactly I need to do, I'm mostly going around talking to people and exploring the place. I guess it will all come together eventually.

I guess it will all come together eventually. I just finished that this morning before work, well I say completed it....it will come as no surprise or spoiler to say there are a few different endings I seem to have unwittingly ended up taking the least satisfactory one. I was lucky that I made a hard save just before the game put me in a point of no return so I'll be going back to see what else I can unlock. It's an odd game, certainly very well done but it reminded me a lot of Firewatch in that there's an awful lot of talking and walking but very little substance; if you get invested in the story (as I did) it's very good but I can see how people will get turned off by it.

As a pc nerd with game pass has anyone figured out how to make computers spit out free rewards like consoles? Briefly looked around a while back but only regular source of points I could find was searching via Bing, to which... yeah... well.
Think we're on the regular gamepass (~£9 £8 a month or something?) as the ultimate didn't seem to do much for pc land

Yeah I loved Unpacking, finished it at the weekend. Felt is strangely affecting and as someone who seemed to move house/flat every couple of years from age 18 to 31 it was an interesting study in home dynamics "what, this kitchen only has one drawer and one cupboard?".
I loved level 5 which is "mismatch" one - really made me feel for the main character even though we never actually meet them.

I'm so confused by Skyrim Anniversary. It was my understanding that it will be free on Game Pass. Various news sources reported this. Now it transpires that it's basically £16 on Game Pass? Doesn't it matter to Microsoft / Bethesda that I've already bought the game on X360 and Switch already? Will I at least be able to continue to play Skyrim Special Ed on Game Pass?
