Yeah, Visage has started off nicely creepy. The sanity aspect reminds me of Eternal Darkness, so I’m keen to see what happens if I lose my mind…

Just finished The Wild at Heart, which is just the perfect game pass game. It's based around a simple but well-executed mechanic where you have a herd of magical forest sprites with different abilities that you can toss around, and with them you do some light puzzle solving and monster bashing. You cavort through a beautifully drawn magical forest full of goodies to (literally) hoover up and collect or craft into different things - which is ultimately pointless because the game is easy to complete without a single consumable, but I guess that's excusable since it seems to be intended as an accessible game for kids. I got a solid ten hours of enjoyment out of it anyway, but I'm not sure I would have paid for it, and I'll most likely never think about it again a month from now.

Procession to Calvary is... ehm... a game. I'm not sure the humor always hits, but so far it's been mildly entertaining.

Which genius thought it'd be a good idea to launch Back 4 Blood on a Tuesday Its the same for FH5 in November, iirc its old thing in the US with shipped games to stores? Gamepass saved me money again with Astria ascending, looked great from previews but its quite rough later on, unbalanced as well and bugged quests eyc. having it on gamepass its like beta test

Isn’t it just the Premium edition which releases tomorrow? Same story with FH5 Ultimate.

As ever if you just switch your region the NZ in settings you can play Back 4 Blood now.
Seems decent so far apart from the controls which feel a bit wonky. Can’t put my finger on why, the sensitivity just seems off.

Can’t put my finger on why, the sensitivity just seems off. I think this was the case with the Left4Dead games too, but perhaps my memory is hazy? Those games felt like a PC ports, if you know what I mean. Aiming and movement both faster than other console FPS games. Much like most Valve published games at the time, actually.

Only spent 30 mins with Back 4 Blood so far and it feels instantly familiar. This is a good thing!
Will finish Alan Wake before I jump in properly but looking forward to it a lot now.

I have learnt that in back4blood, you can leave at a safe house during a run and can carry on from there. That's quite handy, given a full run is a chunk of time i can't always free up.
Handy to know, one benefit of the campaign intro spiel! 😀

Loved last year‘s Riftbreaker demo/teaser, love what I’ve played of the full game now. It’s a twin-stick shooter/RPG/RTS hybrid, and it plays fantastic. Launch “trailer” (8 minutes of gameplay) youtu.be/BNJ5Mj8kiJA

Riftbreaker is great so far! Quite polished and the controls are reasonably ok.

Nobody played the artful escape yet? It's been getting a shedload of praise so I thought someone would have posted about it.

Just done the first 20 minutes of artful escape and I can't wait to get back on it. Completely charming and the guitar sounds amazing on it.

My game pass is up soon. What's the best (ie cheapest way) to get another year. So I just have to wait for a deal or can I do the whole let out lapse, get 12 months gold then get a cheap 1 month gamepass code?

Yeah the cheapest way is to let your GP sub lapse (or just outright cancel it) load your account with Gold subs (max 36 months) then just buy a cheap 7 day GP Ultimate code (or the £1 month trial of its available on your dash) and convert the Gold to GP Ultimate. If you want to get a VPN involved, you can buy Turkish Gold subs (£22 for 12 months) and redeem them via a VPN, but I haven't tried this personally. I bought EU Gold subs (£39 for 12 months).

Didnt get on with THe Riftbreaker on the xbox, it really is a PC game. Good job it is on Gamepass PC also yay.
Tried on PC and before i know it 4 hours had passed, very stressful game but oh so good. Perfect blend of tower defence & RTS no surprise really it feels like it needs a mouse. Worth ago to anyone that fancies RTS.

Yeah, I loaded it up on console, got as far as the image that shows you the controls and just backed straight out of it. I could tell at a glance that it'd be more suited to K+M.

Yeah tried Riftbreaker too, but as above couldn't get on with it. Infact couldn't place a wall without it slipping past the right spot about 6 times, and there is no slider for sensitivity as the console conversion project clearly started and stopped at whether it would run or not.

Hoping The good life is good game, looks like a 360 game and not as weird as Deadly Premonition Started this morning, but only 20 odd mins in before I had to stop, looks, sounds like it could be fun. Bit of a change of pace from chainsawing Locusts at least. I also like the look of Lake for this.
