Stupid foibles that annoy you but shouldn't

The trollies in Lidl. They have this really handy bit at the bottom you can pull out and put bulky stuff on so it doesn't take all the room up in the trolly.

But I twat my shin off it. Every. Single. Time. It really fucking hurts. Must be muscle memory of normal trollies not having it.

I remember watching some cheap daytime shite where they would pad out the show with ‘coming up after the break’ followed by a pre break recap so the production company only had to film about ten minutes for an entire show. Not just one show either but all that day time fodder.

Peeling the skin off red onions. The clingy bastard of the onion world.

Cheap, or, often, homemade burgers where the mince is padded out with loads of onion. It should be minimal and then if you like onion, stick them on top to your taste.

I just rip off the outermost onion layer and chuck it away. It's a bit wasteful, but I don't have the time or patience.

It's pretty much this, although I just cut it in half before taking the end off. Has the added bonus of not making you cry if you don't chop up the root when you get to it.
