It deffo tastes a lot better, smoother and creamier.
And the Irish pour it properly, it's all about the rest.

Yeah, I'd say more down to the pub than the product.
Always wince when I see a pint of Guinness getting pulled in one go without the obligatory rest...

It's closer to the source in Ireland so hasn't travelled or been stored as long so it's fresher. Plus they get through it quicker so it's always fresh.

Guinness is definitely better in Ireland.
I still swear the pints in Dublin airport are the best. Probably because they are the first & last, but definitely tastes better over the Irish sea!

I don't know anyone in Ireland that drinks Guiness outside of Dublin.
Beamish is the go to stout most everywhere else. At least with the olds in my family. I can't speak for the entirety of Ireland.

Nah, they definitely favour Guinness everywhere I've been while living there.

As an Irishman my experience has always been Guinness would be the preferred stout

Can't say I've tried "proper" Guinness in Ireland, but based on the cans and draught pints from English pubs it's a pretty underwhelming stout. I mean it's... Fine. But nothing special.

The weird thing is I really quite like the AF Guinness, but if I was going to drink something alcoholic I'd want something better.

Is clingfilm worse than it used to be? It’s shit. And it annoys me. Barry Lewis swears by his…I think it’s called a Wrapmaster 3000 ©️®️™️. Personally, I use cling film every day, yes, just a cheapo supermarket one. I never really seem to have any problems. #TheDextrousChef #I’mBetterThanYou #InFactI’mChuffin’Aces

I'm positive that you actually liked it, or perhaps you were eating the wrong thing entirely. Allow me to demonstrate what a true Neapolitan pizza should look like.

Actually, just to add a couple of tips that will improve things for anyone who doesn’t know: 1 ) Don’t forget to push the tabs in on the ends of the cardboard box: they really do help to hold the tube in place 2 ) Then, I find taping around the ends of the box grants a little much-needed strength and stability

I have to say I prefer Guinness in Dublin to anywhere else though, it's definitely a distance traveled, or time spent in the barrel thing. Dunno which, but I'm not keen on it anywhere else.

I liked it for sure, well Naples style pizza as I have not been to Naples for the authentic experience. Just don't really see a reason to eat that again if a choice was available. Same with Guinness, I like it but would rather something less flat.

It's time for me to finally admit to myself that I have never enjoyed Cornish pasties. Trash short pastry with a solid half-moon crescent of it that there is no comfortable way to eat. Dry, over peppered meat, boring potato. Just wall to wall disappointment. Yeah they're pretty shit and need a good dollop of brown sauce to rescue them. I love pepper but they're always so heavy handed with it. You can't even do the wanky Naples thing and say they're better in Cornwall because they're shit there as well. Agree. Never understood how these half-arsed pies became celebrated.

I can't bloody wait for my first trip to Ireland next year. Extremely keen to try a lot of beer and an awful lot of Guinness.

I don't know why but people who fan themselves with improvised fans, like notepads or bits of paper, really annoy me.
