Yeah, banter aside it's pretty difficult to say you spunked it when you were up against the defending champions and almost back-to-back winners. Banter aside, that France team is missing a lot of the world champions, and how many of their players would be better than what is in that England team. Mbappe, Varane. Maybe Lloris, but debatable. I guess expecting England to do better with that squad is trolling. Touch of the old English arrogance there. Mbappe, Varane, Lloris, Rabiot, Tchouameni, Greizman and Konate would all walk into the England first team. And some of the other remaining players would be 50/50 |

Well, yeah. If you are going on performance at the tournament a lot of the French players would be ahead. I would have not have Greizman instead of Foden. I know Foden played wide, but the free role is probably his best position. I'd maybe give you Tchouameni over Rice, but it's certainly debatable. I'd take Stones over Konate for sure though. Been average for Liverpool and not even the French starter. Upamecano more arguable. But still prefer Stones I think. |

It took me until yesterday number of days to realise that lucas Hernandez and theo Hernandez were not in fact the same player. Obviously I realised Theo was shit and did think there was something off about the name but I convinced myself I was just getting in my own head because it always feels a little bit strange to see a Hernandez in a French jersey.

Wasn't sure which thread covers Euro Qualifiers, so sticking here. Maybe the mods can flip this into the a Euros one if there isn't anything more suitable?
I really think Southgate should call up Balogun this month. We need to be planning for post-Kane and he's the best uncapped, English young striker. We're going to lose him to the US (possibly even Nigeria) if Southgate's complacent.
