Edit: but also proud. It’s hard to take, but I’d much prefer we played with some bravery than being super conservative and losing on pens.
To outplay France is no easy task. And Mbappe was not in the game at all.

Tough on Kane to take the 2nd, and against his own keeper too, must add a bit more to the calculation, shit happens.

So, it really is looking like a Croatia vs France final. Again.
It was a good match, but I felt England switched off for a few mins leading up to the second French goal.
Would love for Morocco to beat the French but can't see it.

I'm fairly sanguine about that. It's disappointing and the ref did us no favours, but I don't feel cheated in the same way as the many losses on penalties.
The best players in this team are young and the future has never been so bright for the England team. The French are the best in the world and we probably edged it on balance of play. I have no idea why Southgate took Saka off, they were terrified of him and we immediately lost the threat on the right. Bellingham also superb. Foden had a good second half.
Actually feel for Harry Kane which is a thoroughly unpleasant and uncomfortable sensation. Doesn't deserve that legacy, football's very unfair. He was good tonight and didn't let anyone down this tournament.

Deffo can't blame Kane. Can't rely on winning games by getting pens. England definitely the better team, but just seemed they were missing one thing to go for France's jugular.
