Dibs on your crazy coworker Fill your boots with some intensity. She's a super spreader? I'm very sorry.

The real disease were the friends we alienated along the way.

Seems like some are planning on vaccinating against that by injecting love. Or just squirting it everywhere

Reading this morning that Baden-WΓΌrttemberg has obligatory FFP2 mask wearage in shops and public buildings, it's an option here in Switzerland too. I really don't get it, I've worn only FFP2 masks since the virus properly exploded. If a clown like me, knew that they protect you much more, why did it take politicians 18 months?

I don't think it's about protecting you is it? More protecting those around you from you.

I see Jonathan Van Tam's secondment has now ended and he's going back to the University of Nottingham. I doubt he'll particularly miss being in the role of Deputy Chief Medical Officer, but I generally thought he was really good throughout.

Golly gosh, what has been going on in here?
Anyway, I just popped in to ask if it was now considered okay to arrive at all business meetings with a 4-pack of Stella and a couple of bottles of Liebfraumilch? Just asking for a friend

Just asking for a friend No of course not, it only works if you're posh. Now a 4 pack of artisan beers that cost Β£21.75 each and a bottle of Chateau dePfefful-Johnsoncunt, and you'll be fine.

I have moved to fpp3 now, keep out 99% of particles compared to 95% of fpp2 (supposedly). Just make sure you don't get the ones with an actual filter! Those don't protect anybody else, just you...

Yeah, my first response to that video was whether I found the child attractive or not.

I don't think it's about protecting you is it? More protecting those around you from you. FFP2 masks protect you as well. There's a number of prohibitive factors on mandating usage. Cost and supply being the primary ones. Those cheap blue ones may be less effective but they are cheap and plentiful. Though are an environmental nightmare.

If you strap a technogel pillow around your mouth it can also be pretty effective, so I understand.

We are almost into a third year of lockdown (wtf?!?! Is it really that long?!). The advice I read on fpp ones was that if you rotate a couple and air them out after use, they can be reused for a while.

technoish it'll be the third year of dealing with the pandemic in various ways, not the third year of lockdown.

They're mandated in Italy for cinemas, public transport etc. and have prices capped at 75 cents.
