I honestly prefer this new forum to the old, and I hate change. It’s cleaner, and the new button is great, takes you up to where you have read in a thread so dead easy to catch up.

There's a block function if you go into their profile in desktop view.
Unfortunately in this case the only thing it leaves showing is their username where they posted. So there's that.

There doesn't appear to be a Report User functionality does there? I've reported his latest post and blocked him though.
On the plus side blocking a user doesn't eff up the layout like some other forum but on the downside you notice there's a hidden post. |

Reporting would be nice but I actually like that it doesn't mess up the thread when you block them. I also like that it gives the option to check the post, if you want, not something I would normally do but there's been times where the thread de-rails and I've wondered why.

As a web designer, it’s definitely not cleaner. Eurogamer has cleaner lines and symmetry, with more padding around important elements. Finding this one a bit naff in design but good to see there’s something at least. |

Yeah it looks very 'under construction' but fuck me if it isn't a better user experience than the last 5-10 years on OG EG was already.

Not to defend EG, but their forum was custom ground up maintained by one guy, pretty much. This is off the shelf open source software with 20 years of refinement, it’s not surprising it has more features.
