I had noticed that. God I feel sorry for his kids. Well those that he actually acknowledges. They'll grow up either incredibly damaged or as massive dickheads. Our future leaders. :/

So we’re paying the multimillion pound gas bill for a US fertiliser company to restart making their fertiliser so we can continue to buy their CO2 byproduct, that’s a great deal and totally normal Gets the headlines for tomorrow onside. What more do you need. Meanwhile Keir has instigated yet another internal war, so yayyyyyý. Let's have that overshadow any semblance of the partý conference. Makes sense.

I can see why he's doing it, but trying to railroad it through now is shit. Although I guess if it been proposed 6 months ago, there would still be lots of hand-wringing and infighting. Either way, the party is a mess.

So much for chaos if we voted for Miliband.
The gammons seem to be blaming the EU and covid for all the problems but not them or tories. You know the rich will be fine with food

I’d not looked at any news for awhile because work has been so hectic and when I come up for air we’re cosplaying the winter of discontent?!

How has this lack of UK-US trade deal not made more headlines given it was used as one of the get out of jail cards for losing EU trade?

Good to see the media are doing their best to report on the food shortages and possible PANIC BUYING. It'll be awful if everyone starts to PANIC BUY ahead of Christmas. Don't PANIC BUY everyone. DONT PANIC BUY. PANIC BUY. PANIC.
That seems to be the increasingly common thread in articles.

How has this lack of UK-US trade deal not made more headlines given it was used as one of the get out of jail cards for losing EU trade? I think our glorious press are now past trying to pretend it is good news financially. They don't care, the deed is done. If you don't think Brexit was worth it, whatever the cost, you're a traitor. Johnson hand waving it away maybe just to soften us up for when there is a miraculous, EU ending UK-US trade deal, because the small print will be selling the NHS and bankrupting our food production to the US to achieve it, and he's aware there is still some strong feeling in this country for the NHS, despite the efforts to convince us otherwise.

The concern over a lack of gas, electricity, CO2, food and money is a bit higher on the list. Getting a trade deal is hard to get excited about for the press.

Biden winning the presidency totally fucked the plan, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if Plan B is to just keep on delaying having to fully implement the withdrawal agreement with the EU in the hope that the Republican's get control back in 2024.
Then they can rip up the GFA and sell off whichever bits of the public sector the US wants.

More likely that the WA will be adhered to (with a gazillion fudges) so that whoever is in change when the music stops can keep the Unionists onside while - though gritted teeth - sticking with the GFA.
A more sensible approach is for NI to leave GB. Then the Brexiters can exit Europe properly instead of this pick and mix EU compliance regime they've subscribed to.

I can't see anything wrong with wanting untrained people to drive around tankers filled with a thousand gallons of highly flammable liquid.

I'm looking forward to when we change the 12 days of Christmas song to include blue passports and a crown on a pint glass.

I know loads of current and ex military people, an HGV driver is very close to the bottom of the list of jobs they’d want to do. Shit job for shit pay when most of them have skills that are far better paying.

...most of them have skills that are far better paying. A "very particular set of skills", "skills they have acquired over a very long career" you might say?
