There are more people in orbit around Earth today than at any other time in history. Currently 14 humans are circling above us.

I couldn't hack the two presenters. They would seem more at home talking about Kanye and Kim K on E! or something.
If that's the future of spaceflight, I pray for a new ice age.

It all just seems like a non event, you’re in the middle of nowhere, you blast up for 2 minutes then you drop down to another middle of nowhere. Where’s the glitz and glamour, I’d barely remember doing it if I paid whatever $250,000 Geoffrey Bezos took off me

Well I would do it in a heartbeat. Flight itself has been round for such a fraction of human history, it would be a real shame not to make the most of the experience (I'm close to my pilot's license now) and I hope that the cost of space flight means I can do it in my lifetime, even if passively.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Earth from that point of view at all, I’d rather not do it in a glorified lift though

I watched their architect explain the many (Never-die Bezos bonus) escape options designed into blue origins and can't help but think their pod might be safe enough for nuclear waste disposal too.

Ol' Shatner trying to have a profound moment, while screaming women and Bezos are more excited by spraying champagne.
Kinda sums it all up at the mo. And that'll have properly wound Shatner up too.

Yea it was absolutely hilarious, there's shell shocked Shatner practically balling his eyes out trying to form his words and that twat couldn't have been more disinterested, it was so awkward.

He'd also like to move "polluting industry" to space. I'm guessing that includes the entire working class.

Nice, we got a view of the payload deployment from the upper stage and while it was still in view we got the view of the solar panels deploying. Still a long way to go but it's looking great so far.

Thanks for flagging this. I've been following it in the news and didn't realise it was so close. I didn't hear the speech at I was in full "shoving things in the oven" mode at the time. I enjoyed what I saw though.
