razz hope it gets fixed soon mate. I’m still going on a Charge 2 nearly four years old. I really fancy an Apple Watch but they don’t play nicely with Fitbit. There is a way to link via Strava but I can’t get on with it, you always have to turn walking exercise on/off. Going to a wedding tomorrow, so unless my unique style of pissed ‘dance’ counts as steps, I’ll be dropping back down our leaderboard

Holy shit, I've had a busy week. Working day and night since Monday. Literally had 6 hours sleep total lol but I've managed to hit almost 200k steps If I could lift my legs anymore today I'd go for it

Saw you had 40k steps. Nice one. Managed 10k even though I'm poorly.

Time to get back on the horse. Looks like I'm dead last. But that's how I like it. How is everybody?

I'm not bad though my step count (which is primarily driven by walking the dogs twice a day) has been impacted by all the rain in the last couple of weeks. Weather's looking a bit drier up to xmas so hoping to get back to my usual 15K+ steps/day. Might even be able to do a bit more in the week or so's festive break from work.
Although I imagine that will be countered by all the unhealthy festive food and drinking. Turning vegan a couple of years ago did help on the food side as most of the usual xmas stuff (quality street, mince pies, etc.) is no longer an option. Won't help reduce the excess alcohol intake though.

I'm at around 10,000 steps a day at the moment. WFH doesn't help as in the office I would walk at lunchtime. Should do it when WFH but it's easier to have a proper lunch break at home.

It's been a little while since I've done the old walking myself, so I'm just easing myself back gently into it. I can certainly feel that the fitness is not what it was two months ago. But it is thankfully not what it was at the beginning of my adventure. I'll see that I go up to about 12,000 a day and then see how much higher I can go.
I'd like to do 20,000, but at my pace, that means 3 hours a day of activity. And I am intrinsically a couch potato. That takes up a significant portion of my evening and infuriatingly, I'm not prepared to make that sacrifice. I'll hope to change my walking routine and do a huge not of walking between 6-9am. Hopefully.
And but some walking gear. My trainers are done. And it's cold, so I should probably get some jogging trousers.

Good to see you back. The weather’s held me back, it’s really claggy and slimy round me and not great for longer walks. Also had a bad week after my c19 booster that laid me low for a few days. Hoping it will turn a bit colder as I really like the proper winter walks on frozen ground. Good luck all

Well done vice! I'm the opposite, full on lazy at the moment. I'll rejoin you all after the festive season.

I thought I could jump back in straight with a bang. But I had my booster shot on 16/12/21. And I have been suffering since I have had it. Oh my goodness. Normal service to be resumed next week.

My booster jab hit me pretty hard earlier in the month. Was pretty much back to normal after a couple of days (just left with slight headache/nausea for a few days after that) . Hopefully you should be starting to feel back to normal(ish) today

I’ve gone over to the dark side and got an Apple Watch, so I’ll be dropping out of here for a while. I can’t see a good way that Fitbit and Apple work nicely together and I don’t want both. Cheers for the friendly competition and all the best to you all.

loto - good luck in the appleverse mate. Assume (given the price) that the Apple watch is pretty impressive. What extra functionality / accuracy does if give over a Fitbit?

Cheers mate. It’s early days, but the GPS and heart rate works well and it obviously works really well with iPhone. I’ve been more impressed with the Fitness workouts - strength, hiit, treadmill, cycling, Pilates, yoga - it seems well worth £10 a month and your heart rate and ‘burn’ effort show on screen. After 4yrs of Fitbit, I wanted to mix things up a bit and still focus on walking, just with a wider range of exercise too. The AW is expensive but so far, I’m impressed with it.

Anyone got a recent Fitbit with a decent HR reader? My Versa 2 died so I picked up a Sense and the HR is way way off when I'm exercising. Looking at their forums the HR scanner is just fucked on both the Sense and the new Versa. Has anyone got a recent model where it actually works?
I've been looking a Garmins but I'm kind of tied into the Fitbit app now so would rather keep using that.

Decks - my versa 2 is still going strong at the moment so can't help I'm afraid. What's up with the new models HR monitoring? Assume they're not picking up elevated heart rates when doing cardio?

The HR massively under reporting even on the manual exercise modes. I got the Sense yesterday, did 2 and a half hours at the gym this morning and got 7 zone minutes. Normally I'm in fatburn/cardio range for the whole time I'm there. A quick Google and everyone on the Fitbit forums are saying the same thing. And have been for a year. And the Versa 3 is the same too apparently.
I could feel my heart rate must have been around 160 and it was only reporting in the 80's. Sending it back tomorrow.

Anyone know if the Garmin app is as good as Fitbit for HR and sleep tracking and stuff?
